I think the 'They have an out after two years!' comments are some of my favorite. You just gave the guy $30 million (and probably $15 million more if they don't find a replacement) and you're already saying, "The good thing about this contract is we can get out of it very soon!"

Kinda weird to think that way about such a good QB, honestly.

Ignoring the problem won't make it go away, Jetmeck.

If I were trying to replicate your gif, I would paste Smith's head into the first frame, adjust it, expand the layer boundary to the image size, create a copy of it as a new layer, then anchor or merge the first layer. I would repeat the process with the next layer. A gif with 450 frames would take me forever using that method.

Someday I will buckle down and learn how to properly use gimp or photoshop, but for now I guess I better just stick with making simple movie gifs.

This is the first one I ever made. It's pretty crude.

One of the last ones:

You think that the GIMP is outdated? No sir. Here's what I would LOVE to see you do, I know it won't be easy and I still don't know how you do all of the gifs that you do, but I love them. Put Manning's head as the rapist/cops head, make Tom Brady as the gimps head, and do Rivers and Alex Smith's heads as Bruce Willis and Ving Rhayme's heads on another. If you do that, I will rep your every post for an entire year.

Don't you think it's appropriate somehow? Like exemplifying everything wrong with Sheepstud AND the Chiefs? Besides Stanzi was just cut, so the Chiefs could go get him if they wanted; Let him dream...

if they cut him after 2015, he will cost $10.8m in dead money. $7.2m after 2016. Looks like Smith will be there for at least 3 more years.

Also, he's $15.5m in cap hit next year, as opposed to $5m this year. So much for that forecast $10m salary cap bump.

ETA: KC is $4.7m under the cap this year, but per spotrac, their 2015 number is actually higher than their 2014 number. All this kicking the can down the road means KC will continue having tough times. Broncos, for comparison, are $26m lighter in 2015 than 2014. Of course, we have more quality vets to resign before then.

OTC has them around 7 mil under.

OTC hasnt updated their cap space yet, with Smith's new deal there, im interested to see the structure of it cap hit wise and the dead money hits if they were to cut him.

Yes, we do have more cap room but as said, have a LOT more key players to try to sign.

Chiefs will have a lot of cap space next year after cleaning house. Daniel, Fasano, S.Smith, Succop's money added right now, DeVito, Avery, Mays, Walker, Parker and Tamba combine to create roughly $35 million next year. Add in the projected $7 million to the cap increase and that's $42 million.

Projected cuts will happen now that players have been drafted to replace them (we'll see how that goes).

Also, get ready for QB's to get $24 million or more a year contracts. Schefter reported in February that the cap is expected to rise from $133 million to $140 million in '15. '16? Yeah it's projected to be at $150 million.

Each team getting $17 million extra payroll. Where do you think that's gonna go? Say hello to utterly insane contracts Luck, Wilson and RG3.

In that case, I can't wait for KC to sign an average, no-upside QB they didn't draft to a $23 million/year contract with $75 million guaranteed so we can hear you spin praises around the move while the compost pile that is your team just turns over and over on the way to another top-10 draft pick.

They should've lost the one game they won because they only scored 7 pts. You will lose 99 out of a 100 games only scoring 7 pts. Too bad Denver had a FB playing QB.

Chiefs and Chargers both among Barnwell's 8 teams that he thinks will decline this season.

There is no point. Alex didn't get a huge $100 million+ contract like the high end QB's...
