Stop pretending you are not a Raider's fan

Also it is easier to draft well when your team picks high every.single.year

yah, the faiders drafted pretty well this year and I liked Dowling too and was mad that oakland got him. Also, in Jackson's first draft, he had like 4 compensatory picks and he still crapped the bed in that draft. Jackson second draft was a head scratcher as he took that CB in the first round (Hayden?) who had a heart condition or something. Is that guy even playing? Sio Moore was a nice pick. In hindsight, Jackson has not drafted well, just look at his Wilson pick (QB from Arkansas). Khalil Mack was a gimme pick, a monkey could have pulled the trigger on that one. Overall this last draft could make up for the previous two bad drafts.

"Storied" MEANS a memorable past. They haven't accomplished anything since the 90s, but few NFL franchises had better success in the 70s...

Cowboys stopped being good when the salary cap was introduced in 94. They won with the talent they got before that in the 95 season but ever since the cap affected them they've been mediocre.

I was born and raised in Longmont.. Im 51 been watching the Broncos over 40 years..

Every year I follow and research all teams in the AFC West. It's the only division I care about. I like to study and learn about the other teams in the division..

That's why I refer to them as a "once storied" franchise who is no longer. The other 2-3 still are.

The secret to a good "Cheifs Suck" thread is that it is our responsibility to keep it on page 1 without it being stickied.

and also that was infant stages of free agency of the NFL. There have been few teams to win back to back superbowls in the free agency era. Cowboys, Broncos and Patriots. And the Patriots Cheated, so really it was only the cowboys and Broncos. It is one of the most difficult things to do in pro football.

Broncos cheated the salary cap and got penalized for it the year they won.

Here we go again. Which players were over the cap? None. What money was over the cap? None. Not sure why you think not being able to pay the bills counts as cheating on the field.

Broncos were fined for not reporting deferred payments. Deferred payments are perfectly legal and common in a lot of contracts, and the Broncos contend that had they reported it, would have been very much within the rules of the salary cap at the time. But it wasn't reported, and so they lost a pick and got fined.
