Didn't miss a game his first 8 years in the league. Missed only 3 games last year, his 9th season. He's played in 141 games out of 144 games possible. Yep, that's "always hurt." Sorry, but you're just incredibly dumb, even for a Chefs fan.

Wonder if KC was the mystery AFC West team who went after Ware and was told "you're not going to like where he ends up." Nah, that would've required a competent front office. I'm betting it was San Diego.

I agree with you on Talib.

Cromatie signed a one year 3.2 million dollar deal. We can get something similar to that for Flowers.

I'd probably do that but i think he can get more.

Although this late in the offseason he might have to settle for a 1-yr deal to cash in, 2015.

I'm sure he's smiling now that he can go to a contender rather than being stuck in rebuild mode his entire career.

He got roasted some last year but he is the best CB on the team and the chiefs will be worse without him.

Ware is going to throw Alex Smith off a balcony and break him like a little boy.

Getting rid of a good player because they "don't fit the scheme" is retarded. A competent DC would tailor his scheme to the players on the roster.

They possibly could but then again Denver plays mostly man to man so Flowers would struggle here too.

It was mostly money. If his cap was lower I think he's still be here

It was $5 million for DRC. And he was in a situation where there was no doubt he'd be a starting CB. If we sign him now, it is likely not as the #2, but as a #3 CB. Not going to be able to showcase his talent as much. Also, I think it would create problems with Chris Harris. It's pretty apparent he does not respect Brandon Flowers talent. I just don't see this a very likely signing.

I think he ends up with the Falcons. Pioli drafted him, and he is in Atlanta now. Have to imagine he will be pushing for Atlanta to bring him in if they can get a good deal on it.

It is easy, they guess. They look at a play and say, it looked like this guy was trying to do "blah" so his assignment was "blah" and then they grade how he fared on a scale of not achieving "blah" at all or achieving "blah" very well. This system heavily favours players who play in an proactive system or role and punishes players who play a reactive system or role.

An example: player A is tasked with rushing the passer, however it is a run play so that player basically runs right by the blockers who chips him and then goes to the 2nd level. This means player A did his job well, he got in the backfield very quickly and on a pass play or playfake that would have been huge. So he gets a good grade despite not having achieved anything on the play and in fact may have cost his teams yards by not occupying a blocker or closing down a lane.

Another example: player B is tasked with a read and react play, he has to maintain gap assignment if it is a run play inside or maintain confinement on run play outside and rush the passer against a pass play. It is a playfake towards that players side, he makes his read as a play inside and maintains his gap, the QB then passes the ball down the field with no pressure. How do you grade that? and how do you know that he chose to maintain solid position until it was obvious it was a pass play and that he didn't get just frozen in place by solid offensive line play?

Ultimately PFF guess. While you can generally rely on them to get the best players in the top half and the worst players in the bottom half, saying someone is the 5th best player based on their rankings is a HUGE reach.

The Ravens might get Flowers as their 3rd DB.

Talib will be out some games too. Happens every year for him. That means more carter too.

Smith and flowers on the outside and webb in the slot is what I would guess.. Would be a good fit if they played the same way they let smith play last season when he finally broke out by pressing the receiver, even eric decker burned flowers and jimmy in man.

Ravens have 4.7 mil in cap room this year, and literally right on the cap for next year if it's around the 140ish range, they have 138 in cap commitments next year.

They would have to move some money around to get Flowers.
