I won't lie, he was disappointing last year until the playoff game. He was hampering a knee injury which made him struggle.

Why? Bc they didn't sign past their prime or injury prone players like Denver?

can you explain PFF's grading process and how they can accurately assess/grade each defensive player without knowing his assignment on each specific play?

And if Flowers is a top-5 CB (imo he's not), then why oh why would the chefs cut him?

He will rebound in a better system for him too. I don't understand why two posters here can't understand that.

Justin Houston is an elite pass rusher. He needs that money more than Flowers.

We will wait and see. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are wrong. I have never been that impressed with him and he got a big contract for a guy who can't play man to man.

That's why he needs to play for a cover 2 team. He's not built to play press.

That is basically what I said. He is paid like a top do it all CB when he has limited skills that show signs of slipping. I think a great move by KC to get rid of him now.

If I put Peyton Manning in a huskers option offense he will suck. That doesn't mean Manning is a terrible QB all of the sudden.

Roby will hit a rookie wall at some point. I would rather rely on Flowers and Webster then Carter and Webster.

Well yeah but Flowers isn't signing for what Carter is signed for. He obviously wasn't worth 7.5 mil a year when he has limited skills and is undersized.

He has missed less games in his long HOF career than Houston missed last year. He really has only been banged up the last two years and he still played for the most part.

Bottomline about Flowers is a good player, but the last couple years his play has dipped due to constant nagging injuries. Press scheme needs tall, fast, longer players.

Flowers was a great draft pick, but paying him so much when he's a 3rd CB is insane. It's a smart move to get money back to give to Justin Houston.

Talib my bad. But Ware has had offseason surgery last 2 offseasons and was half of what he was last year.

Didn't miss a game his first 8 years in the league. Missed only 3 games last year, his 9th season. He's played in 141 games out of 144 games possible. Yep, that's "always hurt." Sorry, but you're just incredibly dumb, even for a Chefs fan.

Wonder if KC was the mystery AFC West team who went after Ware and was told "you're not going to like where he ends up." Nah, that would've required a competent front office. I'm betting it was San Diego.

He was playing on one arm last year.

Even playing hurt the previous year, he had 11.5 sacks, and 5 FF's.

I agree with you on Talib.

Cromatie signed a one year 3.2 million dollar deal. We can get something similar to that for Flowers.

I'd probably do that but i think he can get more.

Although this late in the offseason he might have to settle for a 1-yr deal to cash in, 2015.
