It's worth posting again because that number is never going to grow.

We'll see
Dick Vermeil was fairly successful until he hit KC and even with a semi decent QB in Trent Green and a decent Oline, nothing came out of it. Does it sound familiar? You had decent running back in Priest Holmes too if I remember correctly and a good TE in Gonzo, but again, that team achieved nothing. The one playoff game I recall was when the Chiefs backed in after a Denver loss and they got destroyed by the Manning lead Colts. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It's possible the Chiefs are just insane.

This isn't entirely true. The Queefs might of had the best record in the league that year and were the #1 seed. Nobody took them serious though with the pathetic defense that they had. You are thinking of the Sperm Edwards team that couldn't beat the Colts despite a terrible game by Manning.

By success of the head coach, you mean all the Super Bowls he has won, right?

Just want to make sure you are consistent.

I'll go one step further. Last weekend was high school graduations, for much of the country. Those high school graduates (18, 19 years old) have NEVER seen a KC Chiefs playoff victory...

as has been pointed out, ALL of Reids success (0 SB wins, by the way) was on the strength of their defense.

link

during Reids Tenure, the only seasons in which the Eagles won a playoff game, the defense was better than the offense.

Between 2001 and 2004, when the Eagles were in the NFCCG 4 years straight, the offense was ranked 9,4,11,8, whereas the D was ranked 2,2,7,2 (in terms of points scored).

Andy Reid, of course, is a West Coast Offense guy. The architect of that defense was the late Jim Johnson. His last year in Philly was 2008, since then the Eagles D was ranked 12,12,8, and 15, and the Eagles never won a single playoff game.

Andy Reid has never won a playoff game without Jim Johnson.

I'm not 100% sure and will have to look it up, but I think Belichick might have won a playoff game without Romeo.

And yet once Crennel got to the Chefs he suddenly morphed into one of the worst coaches in league history.
