I saw an article in the paper today that a record number of double-wides have been listed for sale this week in Kansas City. The article speculated that many KC residents were trying to put together the funds needed for Super Bowl tickets.

Absolutely not. KC was the WORST team in the NFL last year yet they have completely revamped their defense; from D coordinator to the last player on D and it shows. The destroyed a team that was right where they were last year. And, I have a feeling that they will do the same against Dallas on Sunday. We will see.

Pretty much like the wholesale changes that took place when Manning came aboard. Remember the year before he got here?

It doesn't take much these days to turn a program from a pretender to a contender (although it ain't happening in KC) - at least not this year.

They looked a lot better, but I think Washington played a big role in this too. They didn't look prepared at all.

RG3 was obviously rusty, but Alfred Morris looked terrible. Their defense was also completely gassed after the first drive. I know Kelly runs a fast offense, but if your defense looks exhausted after the first drive of the game, it reflects on the coaching IMO.

They made some changes, but their secondary is still suspect. I still doubt Poe and Jackson will continue to dominate against good teams.

If they dominate Dallas as badly, I'll be convinced they are a very dangerous team.

I just don't see that happening; should be close.

Poe looks like a completely different player this year. He looked good in preseason. Really hope he keeps it up. He is facing a rookie C this week, but we'll see.

This will be our first real test. We'll see what happens.

Only my opinion, but their secondary looks to be on a roll as well.

This team may not do much this year, but their D is going to kick ass and take names. Hell, it didn't take more than one half for me to see that.

By the time we get them late in the year, it should be interesting.
How could you tell? They were playing Gabbert.

Houston and Hali are terrible vs the run and both disappear in games.

Poe looked good vs a team that could not gain enough yardage for more than a couple 1st downs, Jags had no one who could get open, the receivers were quitting on plays and when they did get open Gabbert couldn't get it to them or they flat out dropped the ball.

Dallas will be a good test to see just how good kFc is. I don't think Dallas is very good but they will be more of a challenge than the Jags.

Yeah, I'm sorry but I don't get it. The Jags had what? 35 yards rushing? (actually, I don't know - didn't look it up) but it couldn't have been much more than that.

Look, I'm no fan of the Chiefs. They haven't done a thing in 20 years (since the Schottenheimer years) but I believe that they are headed in the right direction. It's easy as hell to talk smack right now. Let Manning go down though (god forbid) and we are in serious trouble.

Yeah, not saying that he won't be a good player for you guys, just it won't be the same level of domination as Jacksonville. KC's secondary will get tested more

Houston is a ****ing beast against the run. Some of you have no idea what you are talking about. He is 270 pounds and built like a tank. He dominates at the point of attack.

Why do people consistently say the broncos are a QB injury away from being in trouble as if that's unique to them

its fans of teams like the Chiefs that keep saying that

When their qbs are never worth a **** they dont understand that there is always a huge gap between an elite qb and his backup

He's also able to get a shutout despite the other team scoring

Because there is an assumption that Manning is more fragile than other QB's. It's a false one, but they think he's a bumpy-ride home from being paralyzed.

And he played the entire season last year injury free. People are weird

Well, I for one think the Chiefs could be potentially dangerous. They have a talent-rich team. Last year they were missing arguably the two biggest components: a QB and a smart head coach. They fixed both those things so I'm interested to see what they do. I don't think beating up on the utterly pathetic Jags is a good indicator of things to come, though.

MJD hasn't been right since his injury and the other guy running the ball should be on someone's practice squad or calling the CFL teams asking if they will look at his tapes for a tryout.

Hali and Houston are liabilities against the run. They never set the edge and they allow avg backs to run through tackles.

Yeah, you're probably right. Makes it more curious when Houston won Defensive Player of the Week a couple of hours ago, doesn't it?
