Default Would love Rod Woodson as DB Coach

I think most, not all, but most HOF players that become coaches do a really good job. They have instant credibility and I think they get more out of every player they interact with.

They seem to bring a "fire" with them that many of the "other" coaches don't have, and I think they inspire based on their accomplishments.

Rod Woodson interned this past season and as one the truest leaders and hard workers on the team recently stated... would love to have him around.

"I don't know who our defensive coordinator is going to be, but we all want Rod Woodson to be our defensive backs coach," said Broncos Pro Bowl cornerback Chris Harris.

Woodson worked with the Broncos as a coaching intern during the 2014 offseason and training camp. A Hall of Fame cornerback and safety, Woodson was instrumental in bringing along rookie Bradley Roby this season.

"That's a great group of guys they have back there," said Woodson, who has media commitments with the Pro Bowl.

Coach Kuiak... bring in Rod Woodson to coach the DB's and I believe he would be an outstanding voice and leader on the sidelines, especially for the defense where there has to be more passion.

I wonder why he didn't last long in Oakland and sort of disappeared last year with us? Either way it wouldn't hurt, to get coached from a great even though former players might not be the best leaders.

Well it is the Raiders were are talking about here. If it makes to much sense then they won't do it.

I was surprised that he wasn't kept after TC, hope he does get a shot full time with us.

He was only a intern last year. I don't think those jobs last past TC.
It was through the minority who's name escapes me at the moment.
It helps minority candidates get a internship with NFL teams during camps and raises awareness.

I would love for Rod to be the DB coach.

Unfortunately because of Wink, I'm traumatized about hiring coaches the players all love.

I hope they hire him also.

Sign Wade for 1yr....let him get the defense where it needs to be and mentor Rod. Then, hire your DC of the future next year or in 2yrs.

Wade is 67...so not a lot left in the tank...IMO.

under Urban Meyer? do you think they would do a good job of quelling any perceived petulance?
