Default Wasteland 2 Kickstarter

I know from the occasional video game thread we get on here that there are some old school PC RPG fans on this forum. Figured I'd fire up a thread to let people know about the well under way Kickstarter project by Brian Fargo to make Wasteland 2. Link here:

For those of you unaware, Wasteland was the precursor to the Fallout series, Brian Fargo is the creator of Wasteland and The Bard's Tale. He was the founder of Interplay and was directly responsible for the creation of Fallout when they failed to get the Wasteland naming rights from EA, not to mention Planescape: Torment and the Baldur's Gate games.

He has since gotten the naming rights from EA and is using Kickstarter to fund development of the game so that he can make it in the traditional top down style of those fantastic old games. If you donate $15 or more to the Kickstarter fund you will receive a copy of the game when it is finished, there are other donation tiers with better prizes as well.

This project WILL be funded by Kickstarter, it has already passed his original mark. The big news that just came out today is that if they meet $2.1M (currently a little over $1.6M) they will have key staffers from Obsidian including Chris Avellone (wrote Planescape: Torment) and Tim Cain (Fallout, Arcanum, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines).

So for all you old school CRPG nuts out there, here's a great chance to help fund the development of another entry in that hall of fame of gaming, with a dream team of developers to deliver the product.
