Raiders received three comp picks. The Chargers got a seventh.

Pretty ****ed up.

Oakland gets a 3rd, 4th and 5th...lol.

Losing Nnamdi is the only one that should realistically be high.

Wow, it looks like the nfl just wanted to make sure chokeland wasn't totally screwed in this upcoming draft. The nfl effectively salvaged the draft for the faiders with this crap.

Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year are eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.

In 2011, Oakland lost free agents Nnamdi Asomugha, Robert Gallery, Bruce Gradkowski, Zach Miller and Thomas Howard and signed Kevin Boss and Stephon Heyer. Teams do not get credit for comp pick consideration for cutting players.

point is aside from Nnamdi Ass, none of those other players are worth all these comp picks. Also, did you see Nambdi play last year? He sucked.

......ummmmm, do you know compensatory pick allocation works?

Zach Miller was signed away to a 5-yr $34 million dollar deal.

Gallery was signed away to a 3-yr $15 mill deal.

Etc

This means Oakland has the luxury of taking a risk in drafting a troubled RB who is involved in gangs and hooked on Grey Goose.

Simplified explanation:

"The round of the pick awarded is primarily determined by the annual value of the contract signed. Signed players cancel out lost players with equal contracts, then lower contracts, before canceling out higher contracts"

well when considering recent history and the dumping of almost all their picks for a washed up shell of his former self QB we can probably safely assume they don't get much out of these picks.

On the plus side we don't have to worry about posters trying to trade these picks away.
