i think part of our recruiting strategy is to not seem desperate. we plant the seed and let the guys leave the building with out contracts. i think we want players to come to our team that want to be here. thats why we let them go and visit other teams and let them choose. were not the team thats backs guys into a corner.

i think i like this approach TBH

Must want too much $, although GB certainly isn't the type of organization to over pay. FA isn't their thing. You'd kind of expect him to want to play with Manning, but then playing with Rodgers on that great team isn't too shabby.

If true .. then the Broncos need to pick up the pace. Saturday would be invaluable for the Broncos working with the other linemen on running a hurry-up offense.

My God, Broncos fans are hard to please.

We got the biggest fish in the market (PM), Porter, Dreesen, Caldwell...

Yet, "we are not closing deals." We can't sign everyone!

We have to consider that he'll be a solid short term upgrade as a player but as a teacher we could be reaping the benefits long term.

Well, considering Walton sucks, I wouldnt be opposed to moving away from him completely. I was hoping for Saturday, but maybe Walton will lift a weight or two this summer.

Broncos need Saturday...offering him $4.5M per year should be the minimum.

I'm happy.

We just have to pick up some DTs.

Agreed we still have a lot of time in FA, the draft then the FA cast offs from TC/PS.

So far EFX is taking it's time and has made Denver a FA focal point with it's commitment to winning. I am sure by TC everything will be in place and we will all be pleasantly surprised at the depth we have and quality of starters.

Remember last year was an evaluation year, they are letting the bad players or guys that didn't work hard for them go and quietly signing upgrades like Porter and Dreessen

So, thoughts on other possible centers?

Jamaal Jackson cut Philadelphia
Dan Koppen UFA New England
Todd McClure UFA Atlanta
Jamey Richard UFA Indianapolis
Brett Romberg UFA Atlanta
Casey Wiegmann UFA Kansas City

I hear ya. I'm not advocating for any of them, just listing who's available.

That sucks, I don't think Saturday is road grader or a very good pass protector but I bet he would have been a great fit and possibly a better player than JD.
