Sounds like Jeff Saturday is down to Green Bay and Denver for his finalists. Packers have a strong offer that he's considering

-------------------

Also, sounds as if Tamme is between us and Seattle, and Dreessen between us and Houston.

Saturday's a mentor for Walton. The center in the Manning scheme has to make most of the line calls and it's a lot to learn.

Wouldn't that be the Shiznet if the Broncos signed all 3 of them..

Saturday by a mile, of the TEs I'd be ok with either, probably prefer Dreesen as Tamme doesn't seem even remotely balanced as a TE to me.

The fact that GB wants Saturday is all you need to know. They generally make the best personnel decisions in the league.

I'd think Dreessen would rule out Tamme.

I thought Mulligan of the Jets visited the other day too ... blocking TE.

I thought it was reported Saturday and Clark would take the veteran minimum to play with Manning.

It's been speculated but unless there is a secret verbal to 18 that we wouldn't know about it, nothing is in concrete. The fact Saturday is talking with Green Bay, arguably the best team in the league in 2012, shows that nothing is for sure with this until it's in ink.

Yes, they played Dallas Clark a lot in a flex role, so they would line up with 1 RB, 2 TE and 2 WR with Clark either lined up wide in the slot and then be able to move him in if the defense went nickel or move him from the line to the slot if the defense lined up in base formation.

4 wide sets with 2 slot WRs but one of which was TE Clark.

Yep. 2 TE sets is very common with Peyton. Dreessen is the better balanced TE over Tamme, but Tamme can be considered more of a WR (along with Clark obvy) they are both very similar in playing style/strengths/weaknesses

Id still love to see us sign Clark and develop Thomas. Those would be three nice TE's to have (I'm sure Thomas and Clark would be a redundancy, but its one i'd like to have)

Indeed, Broncos are still negotiating w/ Jacob Tamme despite earlier TE signing. Seattle also pushing for Tamme, a former Colt #freeagency

Dressen a way better blocker then Tamme. Tamme more a WR then a TE IMO.
