I think the general view is that Romney sorta missed the point here. 1 or 2 jabs at himself, most of them at Obama. Obama 1 or 2 jabs at Romney, most about himself. Of all the years I've watched this event, Romney was the 1st one ever I saw that really missed what it's all about, making fun at yourself.

He's part of that chicken-fried, old confederacy demographic whose support for Romney is motivated solely by hatred of Obama and the idea of a black president.
