Default Tebow Trade on Hold?

Per 104.3 The Fan, contract language may be holding up the trade to the Jets, letting the Rams jump in. Stay tuned.

That'd be cool, if we could get more for him.

Get more for him and send him to the NFC - this could be excellent for us.

No way we'd get more for him, probably less.

I sure as hell like the Rams for a third rounder a little better. Maybe Jeff Fisher has some past memories of Steve McNair (only healthy).

It has to do with wording in his contract. Apparently the Jets have to pay us $5million for him. That is what scared the Jags away. Hopefully both sides can work out an agreement, and get this drama over with.

No way! They are handling this quickly and expediently instead of letting it draw out until the draft.

If the deal just got sweetened, i'll be extremely impressed.

For an OU fan, if we get another third rounder we could probably turn that into Ryan Broyles - would that feel better?

Interesting that it killed the Jacksonville trade.

you would think that considering rex ryan & TT have the same agent that this would've been noticed sooner.

This can be overcome by the Broncos waiving that. Evidentally Pat put that in his original contract so he could recover some of the signing bonus?

So waive it, but add a conditional pick for TD production or bump the 6th to 4th next year. Didn't like the original deal anyway. We are not getting value in picks, but want 5 mill$?

Adam Schefter:
Jets-Broncos agreed to Tim Tebow trade before Denver asked NY to pay back portion of bonuses and salary already paid to Tebow. No deal yet.

FB friend tipped me off to this tweet, responding to Cromartie's voiced displeasure about Tebow coming to town:

Come on, Cro. Get on board with this. You and Tim Tebow have a lot in common. You're both New York Jets, and you both use the exact same amount of birth control

Mike Lombardi just said on nfln that broncos either take him back or drop the demand. It's basically a clause that tebow has to pay back the money if he retires that was given to him in front loaded bonuses. Lombardi said no one is going to give draft picks and money.
