how is a draft horrible when it yields two starters (lelie and putz) plus the best rb den had since TD. Sonic was a homerun threat everytime he touched the ball. He gained over 1500 yards in both his Den seasons and went to a probowl? Plus brandon had a career. Davis was a chump but he didn't get cut in camp

Chiefly, I can't believe it's already been ten years. Back in 2002, my dad was just starting with his subscription to Mel Kiper's Big Blue book. Being a football nut, I wanted to know who would be the Broncos next guy. It was between Lelie and Stallworth, and I wanted the fast kid from Hawaii. He was tall, fast, and that's all that matters as an 11 year old. So when my dad took me to the Stamford Brewing Company restaurant in Stamford, CT, it was a tremendous pleasure to see Ashley get drafted. It was my first time watching the event, and heck, I got the one guy I wanted on my team. As much as Ashley was one dimensional, I still loved him and I have fond memories of him. Portis is one of my favorite Broncos of all time. I fell in love with him after my dad let me rent Madden 2003 from blockbuster. Portis was a mid-70's guy, but had 96 speed. Instantly my favorite Bronco. And when he blew up, forget about it. Man crush. I always thought Brandon sucked, but it's probably because my dad always b****ed about him. |

I'm glad Putzier has been gone for a while now. I always felt bad for the guy. A week didn't go by without him getting the **** knocked out of him. The guy was a magnet for big hits.
