"Actually sir, one million dollars isn't really that much money anymore. The league minimum for just one player is not much below that and teams regularly spend over 100 million dollars on salary in a single year."

If I heard it right on Sirius NFL Radio this morning when they had an NFL Financial Advisor on there is no hit to the cap this year but I was a little confused listening to it:

The first year (2012) is an 18 million contract followed by two years (2013/2014) at 20 million and two (2015/2016) at 19 million. I would assume that we would take an 18 million hit from what we had because none of Peyton's contract is bonus it is all salary.

After Manning, We have just over 20 mill in cap space left. Plenty of room to bring in a few more key players, we could sign another manning if we wanted to!

Dallas Clark seems a no-brainer ... he knows the offense, gives Manning an outlet. And his numbers have dipped enough to make him affordable. Pass-catching TE a position of need, too.

Is that true? Anyone have a link? That is the way it should be written, to protect Denver. But I expected some token bonus

Is it straight base salary or are there incentives built in?

Yep....they were saying base salaries are.....

2012 - $18M (guaranteed)
2013 - $20M
2014 - $20M
2015 - $19M
2016 - $19M

All salary, with only the first year guaranteed. NFL Network described it structured in a very team-friendly way.....sort of a "pay as you go" system.

From this, Incarcerated Bob is going to tweet that we're working on a trade for Eli Manning!

Maybe not but atleast we are not responsible for him other than the years of play if he gets hurt.

Didn't Xanders have some stupid comment yesterday about today being a big day for the Broncos?

if sending (which everyone knew was going to happen) and signing a mediocre QB are what he thinks constitutes a big day, that is pretty ****in sad.

Schefter stated in his interview that Denver gains 2.5 million for trading Tebow AND the Jets picking up half of the 5+ million dollar "Advance" Denver paid him before last season started.
