Jim harbaugh was throwing footballs to him today. Alex smith is pleased with their offer and is in the process of getting that done

don't know enough about the 49ers to know if this is good for them or not. If Harbaugh can tame Davis though, he may be able to do the same with Moss.

not sure how much he "tamed" Davis...did you see the stunt he pulled in the NFCCG?

Well they had to deal with Braylon Edwards. It's low risk and they are desperate at WR.

i'd definitely still trade up for a Blackmon or Floyd if i was the 49'ers. unless they fall in love with a Wright,Jeffery or Hill.

If Moss has anything in the tank it's a great signing for them....they need WR's!!

They won't take another high draft pick on a WR (crabtree disaster). Plus they would have to give up the farm for a pick above the rams.

I think I would take a look at TO long before Moss.

Look at production in past few years. TO wasn't that bad last time up. Moss invisible everywhere.

Moss apparently clocked a 4.39 when he worked out for the Saints.

TO was calling them like crazy at the end of last year. Asking whitner to put a good word in. They wanted none of that.

I could see Moss helping in the red zone but I don't think Alex Smith has the arm to make his deep speed beneficial and I have never considered Moss to be exceptionally quick on slants. I don't see him making much of an impact but may have something like 50 plus catches 800 yards and 6 to 8 TD's depending on how often he is targeted in the red zone. I see that is the high end. Low End is released by week 6 while creating negative publicity.

A motivated Moss on a winning team like the 9ers! I think he puts up some decent numbers. Defenses now have to worry about the deep threat that he brings to that offense.
