That's just absurd logic. Tebow was on his 2nd year cam 1. The definition of a rookie is Zero experience at being a professional, regardless if youre sitting the bench or playing.

Really you don't think if we had Manning last year vs the Patriots we couldn't beat them?

Sorry with all due respect to Tebow he is not even a top 20 NFL QB yet, Peyton Manning is top 5 and always will be and he may even be the best.

If DT had Manning throwing to him he would become an elite WR. Decker would be a solid WR. Eddie Royal would be a solid WR.

DT = Just as much talent as Reggie Wayne
Decker = Just as much talent as Austin Collie
Eddie Royal = More talent than Pierre Garcon

P. Manning makes WRs in his sleep.

Obviously it did for some since they are asking a question about it.

Seems like Beavis and I understood it.

Your crayon logic doesn't bother me now that I've gotten used to you.

Wayne will follow Manning. So if we land Manning we will get Wayne as well.

no, we couldn't beat them. QBs do not play defense. our defense was no match for NE in the playoffs, even after we had a dry run against them in the regular season. same **** that used to happen whenever Shanny played Indy during the season and then in the playoffs.

Manning makes our team look good on paper. Tebow could sure kill on a halfback option. Neither for or against this.

Sneaky Sneaky Agents

Manning is repped by CAA. Wouldn't expect him to land anywhere with an in-place QB also repped by CAA. Includes SF, KC, JAX, DEN, OAK, BUF.

What have we got to offer Manning? Well, let's see.

1. We have, quite possibly, the worst pass-blocking O-Line in the league. Good thing Manning is so mobile and durable.

2. We have one of the least experienced and least-proven receiver corps in the league, though they do have a knack for dropping passes that hit them in the hands.

3. We have a head coach whose entire philosophy is to grind down opponents with the running game.

4. In terms of endorsement opportunities, we have the biggest national sports and media market between Wichita and Salt Lake City.

5. At least there wouldn't be any controversy or pressure on Manning here. Ah well, maybe a few people who like Tebow. But they aren't vocal or anything like that.

I'll betcha Manning is just drooling over the chance to play here. He'd probably take a big cut in pay just for the opportunity.

Getty ImagesEarlier today, we explained that the joint representation of Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow by CAA will make Denver an unlikely destination for Manning.

But that won’t stop the Broncos from at least trying.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos will place a call to Tom Condon. Klis also writes that, if the contract could be structured in a way that protects the Broncos against further neck trouble, “the Broncos could well be players” for Peyton.

The contractual concerns could be enough to kill any possible deal, since teams like the Dolphins surely wouldn’t insist on placing any such protections in Manning’s contract. If he checks out, they’ll go all in and push the market to a point higher than that at which the Broncos will be comfortable.

The headline to the article says that the Broncos likely will stick with Tebow, a decision likely motivated by a desire to keep the Tebowmaniacs from storming the newspaper’s headquarters. Though the item from Klis makes clear that it won’t be easy to land Manning, Klis never says that it’s likely the team will keep Tebow. Instead, Klis explains that the Broncos definitely will explore the possibility of signing Manning.

Translation--it's gonna cost kc an arm and a leg to sign Payaton...

I don't think Peyton respects John Elway enough to get killed behind our offensive line.

are you really this stupid? Beavis and I were discussing the Bills game..he mentioned 75% completion rate during the 1st half of the game...i mentioned that is skewed since its only on 4 attempts and questioned why that is good...i used an EXAMPLE of going 3-3, or 20-20, which completion rate is better....then someone asked doesnt the win matter more than the rate, so i said sure, BUFFALO WON.....then you assumed 20-20 happened in the buffalo game....

No, and you're delusional if you think we could have. They could have laid 60 pts. on us if they wanted to. This was a rare case that Bilicheck was actually merciful to an opponent in a game.

Use to. Highly unlikely the Manning of today is the same Manning that destroyed most defenses he went against. Just how effective this Manning really is going to be, is an unknown, and buyer beware.

Broncos will inquire about former QB Peyton Manning's availability and see if he has interest in coming to Denver.
The conversation will go something like this.

Peyton: *ring ring* Hello?

FO: Hey Peyton, this is John. How would you like to play for the Denver Broncos?

Peyton: No.

FO: Ok, thanks. Bye.

Peyton: *hangs up*

This isn't far from the truth. I like Schefter, but he might as well said "the Broncos and about 20 other teams will inquire about Manning". Because that is what is going to happen here.

Anyone who does not have thier franchise QB already will probably inquire. That doesn't mean they have the desire or resources to pull it off.

1. Peyton doesn't really hold the ball. I bet you the line would look tons better in front of him.

2. Our receivers are talented, and I have no doubt would also look better when playing in a more consistent offense.

3. If Peyton came, Peyton would be the offensive coordinator (more or less)

4. Peyton Manning has no trouble getting endorsements. He's a proven commodity at this point

5. He's the one guy that even pro-tebow broncos fans (and thats me) would gripe about.

Here are 5 equally bs reasons of why denver would be great for him.

1. You could make the argument that offense held us back this year and more consistent QB play would have been the answer (i dont really agree with that, but you can make that argument if you so choose). And hell, we were one of the last teams standing!

2. We have the best running game in the nfl. Just look at the stats (also bs, but you can make the argument).

3. We have two good young receivers and cap room to sign wayne. We can even sign your buddy Jeff Saturday!

4. We have a young, good defense and the cap room and draft power to improve that.

5. Denver is a rabid football town. During a game in the mid 00's, Peyton claimed that the crowd in Mile High reminde dhim of the crowds in Knoxville.

See how easy that was?

Not to argue semantics, or whatever.....but why would you inquire about a player's desire to play for you, unless you plan on signing him if he says "yes...."
