For those that think Manning being a Broncos isn't a good thing for whatever reason...answer me this....I.m curious because I think if you can sign Manning, you sign him...even at 80% he's better than 90% of the NFL's QB's right now.

How bad is Tebow in the minds of Elway, Fox, etc. that they would go out and try to sign this alleged washed up, injury prone, former shell of himself, big ego,one hit away from a wheelchair, choke artist, and old QB?

How bad do they think Tebow really is if they believe Manning is the better option?

He really has no leverage unless he becomes like Cutler. That just doesnt seem within him though. Obviously, he's gotta be peeved, but he seems the type that'd rather prove people wrong than cry.

well I think it's clear he's talking personnel, philosophy, offseason plans, all that stuff--but that doesn't mean he has any intention of signing a contract yet.

No, I think you get that QB this year and probably pretty early (1st or 2nd round). Also, don't expect Manning to 'tutor' anyone. He isn't a guy that wants to help anyone along... rather a guy that puts all of his effort into the plays and then discussing scenarios with the OC while the other guys take their reps.

Here is the million dollar question. Will Manning play 4 or 5 more years? If you can reasonably project that he can and will, then you go all in with him. You sign players that fit his style and you form your whole team around him. The down side is that you can't exactly replace him after he's done so you better win in that window.

With Tebow, you focus on building a more complete team that is more diverse. That's the benefit of going with Tebow... And he is much easier to replace as well.

Sorry if I'm of the belief that a 36 year old Manning, coming off 4 neck surgeries, who only managed 1 superbowl win in 14 years with the Colts, is unlikely to win 1 here in Denver in the next 3 years.

It's not easy to win the AFC, what with teams like NE, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, Jets, a healthy SD...but would you not agree that having Manning as our QB increases our chances of doing so?
