Good enough to be average. Average after having a team in 5 superbowls over 13 years is awful. You get used to a certain level of excellence. You cannot say 1999-2011 was the same as 1983 to 1998.

I do think Tebow is the long term guy. He is raw and needs work. If Manning comes in for 2 or 3 seasons, and Tebow stays that's the best possible scenario in my opinion. It helps the franchise now and long term.

It's 36 year old Peyton Manning. Who still isn't fully healed and may never be. Who's won 1 title in 14 years.

Peyton wouldn't want to go where QBs go and suck anyway, but it's crazy for the Brown's not to pursue him. They must have a real aggressive plan to either get Flynn or Griffin.

No. I don't think it'd be Tebow. I just think if the FO was willing to go so far as to bet the farm on Manning, they'd be crazy enough to deal Tebow.

Elway played in a different era though... I wonder if he could survive that long in this era especially the way he played... Manning also doesn't have Elway's mobility nor did Elway have Manning's injury history.

I wonder if it is even wise for Manning TO play in this era with his neck issues and lack of mobility...

Elway never had four neck surgeries in a single year for the same issue. Signing Manning is a risk. With a pretty high reward ratio.

Yeah, and he had to have his best team ever (by far) to get it done.

You couldn't have just airlifted him to another team and picked up your Lombardis wherever was most convenient.

It's a big process. The likelihood of getting it done in a year or two is pretty remote.

Me neither...but the Tebow circus would get annoying to Manning and the FO really fast. If they could get over that inconvenience, and Manning tutor him yes (not like Painter) then yes.

I still think the negatives outweighs the positives.

I don't know how much Tebow can improve his game. I think Tebow is best in a school yard offense not a structured pocket offense EFX wants to run. I also doubt FO will go hog wild and add weapons like NO GB Det does imo Tebow's best chance is that scenerio not skimp on talent.

I think Manning goes to Miami or the NYJ, with Arizona being an outside possibility. Miami and Arizona have pretty good offensive pieces. Wayne will go where Peyton goes.

Denver's pass blocking leaves alot to be desired. Our starting WR's are talented, but raw. We dont appear to have the middle of the field option at TE. We also lack speed at RB.

It would be interesting to see how Denver would draft and approach FA if they do sign Manning, but his coming here has to be a fairly slim possibility.

Can we stop beating a dead horse now? John Elway does not think Tebow is the answer either, which is the reason he is looking for a new QB.

We're improved short term 2-3 seasons, which is a blessing. This gives us time to continue to add talent to a young football team.

We all could die in 2-3 years. Better to enjoy the present than worry about the future. Besides, we'll have 2-3 years to prepare for the Manning era to be over with. We'll be fine.
