That was Favre, not Manning. Manning's last effort (with a better team) was a one-n-done 17-16 shootout loss to future HOF'er Mark Sanchez.

Favre led the Pack to the NFC Championship his last year, then did so again with the Vikings.

But what you're saying is even back then the right move was ditch Cutler for Favre.

Gotcha. I'm assuming you were here on the OM pounding desks calling for the move.

If you want to hate on Manning's health, go ahead...but hating on his general playing ability? You will lose every single time.

No way.

If anything it will help tebows growth so much.

First, we know that manning will mentor Tebow and not pull an Orton or a Favre. He will mentor the **** outta him. Its mannings style number one and peyton knows he only has at max like 4 years left in him anyway.

Secondly, what situation would be better for tebow than to learn from two greats Elway and Manning? I cant think of one. Tebow can learn how to read the D, get the mechanics and footwork down. And Most importantly make Mike Mccoy expendable. because, well, mccoy sucks.

Tebow would not beat out healthy peyton this year, next year he could compete but not beat him out, but after 2 years of learning, and with tebows wok ethic...Oh yea, it would be a great camp battle. Plus, lets not forget that tebow will still have some RZ plays, short yardage stuff and what not. This is like a dream scenario for the broncos and for Tebow.

Peyton Manning: Report: Fins, Skins, Broncos Peyton favorites
Peyton Manning - QB - IND - Mar. 8 - 1:09 pm et

One team official who has contacted the player rep for Peyton Manning got the "definite impression" that the Dolphins, Broncos, and Redskins are the front-runners for the quarterback, according to CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman.

The same official believes Manning has already narrowed his list despite public comments to the contrary. Additionally, the official gets the sense that Manning is open to playing in the NFC, even in the East, contrary to previous reports. We would take this report with a grain of salt. Manning's agent isn't going to show his full hand when he can play interested team against each other. Mar. 8 - 1:09 pm et

Broncos seem like the obvious choice out of the 3.

If Manning prefers AFC over NFC, it leaves Miami and Denver. Denver is in a much better position to make a deep run into the playoffs with Manning.

It isn't Manning's style at all, he isn't going to act as a mentor to Tim.

That discussion is pointless anyway because it's pretty much been confirmed that Tebow would be traded/released if Manning was to sign here.

Excerpt from Pat Kirwans article....

Trust me, Peyton Manning will control this whole process.

Peyton Manning is not going from team to team and working out for each club…The workout itself may never even happen if a top bidding team says they don’t care about the session, which I suspect will be the case.

Peyton Manning is going to get a fat contract. He will see top QB money, and he’s not taking any risks financially to prove he can still play.

Favre couldnt lead that Jets team to the playoffs so I guess Sanchez is better then Manning and Favre then!
I would have taken Favre over Orton lol.

No surprise there. He's not going to want to play his brother twice a year and compete for division titles. It may well come down to Miami and Denver. I think he'll pick Miami, but you never know.

How about Tim for Gabbert and and a pick/picks. We let Gabbert sit behind Manning for a few years and see what he can do. Or maybe draft a QB in the third.

Either way I don't see this happening.

I dont want Gabbert at all. Just go with Manning, hope he stays healthy. and draft a QB in 2 years or whatever.

I didn't get the impression that he wanted to go to Miami. I'll rewatch the interview when he landed in Miami after his press conference. He made a comment about Miami having all new personnel.

We sign Manning, we trade Tebow, Manning gets hurt(which he will) we're left with a backup, we no longer have the hope of Tebow developing into a world beater. This sounds good to everyone?

Gabbert is Tebow without the running ability and intangibles.

Plus he plays scared.

Would be a dumb move.

Just throwing it out there. I haven't seen him play.

No one else will give us compensation like the Jags would though.

Should the option of Manning not be discussed? It's been reported by multiple people we are looking at it fairly hard. I doubt he comes but it's worth discussion.

If you think there's a better chance of Tebow being a special QB than there is of Manning taking this team to a superbowl within the next 3 years.

You should be against the move.

If you think the opposite, then you should be in favor of the move.

I do not see Tebow reaching Mannings level within the next two or three years. Manning is one of the best QBs ever in the NFL. If he shows he still can play at that level then I want him.

Bull Sh**!!!

Its been confirmed by who that tebow would be traded? Who in the FO has said that? Why would that say that? Huh?

Manning is one hit away from being back on IR or Retired. He hasnt even been cleared to play yet. That would be real smart, get manning, get rid of tebow and then when he is hurt have no one but weber or a rookie draft pick to fill in. BULL ****!

Next, why wouldnt it be his style? He sure did a lot of jim sorgi, he has done a lot for qbs at the pro bowl. Have you heard the remarks they have made? I think it fits just in line with him.

If we somehow land manning. Tebow is not going anywhere. Bank on it.

I'm going to take the opinions of those with actual connections to the Broncos organization over yours.
