dook students also pull for the blue devils. They, like 99.99999% of the world don't know squat about what happened between Peyton & the Broncos.

He just sat there in his workout clothes for 3 hours?

How many times do you think Manning said to himself, "I can't play for Denver, I usually slaughter those guys"?

So does this shoot down the Brass celebrating at Shanahan's story?
I can't buy that because Elway's not only been in football his whole life, but he's certainly anythign but a moron business wise, and Fox is certainly no spring chicken whose never been around the free agent game, Steven Davis, anyone. If Manning had really just been a lying pos carbetbagger at Dove Valley, I don't think Elway would have taken him drinking at the country club. Morever, Payaton's always been a pretty classy act. I think that's why he and the Duke hit it off.

I think Manning was genuinely surprised and then interested in Tenn, not just because of the location but also ... they got a decent defense and probably the best runner in the league and if not then in the conference.

Now SF. And honestly that's his best shot at a Lombardi.

Plus, Tenn seems to have upped the level of guaranteed money involved.

If I'm Elway, I'd figure ... well ****. Plan B. Most people, unless they're Tebowites, have had job situations that seemed good fits and pretty sure things fall through.

Like I said earlier, the workout was supposed to be in their indoor facility. How do these kids know what happened?

I think we were plan C. Remember, until Tennesse came a calling, it was down to us and Arizona. Houston had already said not interested and the 49ers were still trying to resign Smith.

Arizona never made any sense except as a way to prolong the process. He had to have someone to bounce offers off of while trying to bring in other players for his services. It doesn't make him a carpetbagger, just smart. Best chance to win and get paid.

this is the bit that someone needs to lodge a complaint to the NFL about. Clearly circumventing the salary cap.

not saying its true, but if Duke student is correct, it wouldnt surprise me at all...

i firmly believe Denver brass loaded up and made that trip to sign him...

and failed...

wouldnt surprise me a bit if the "workout" piece was a front...

why work out for a team you're arent going to sign with?...

This would be investigated. There's no way this can happen. It clearly violates the cap rules.
