4:20 PM Dave Hyde: I agree with Marshall Faulk saying on the NFL Network this trade is to bring in Peyton Manning. Faulk knows Manning, having played with him in Indy. Doesn't mean he's right here (or that I am). But there's clearly something big behind trading Marshall, because the Dolphins got crushed in the trade. Two third-round picks for a guy who has cap-friendly contracts for Chicago? Why do that unless there's something bigger to it? Stay tuned. http://www.sulia.com/channel/nfl-fre...source=twitter

After the Marshall trade I would bet the farm Manning to Miami is definite. He doesn't play with punks like Marshall.

Maybe it's just house cleaning for the Phins for their new coach. Get rid of some potentially bad baggage and clear up some cap space. Also means a couple of picks to rebuild their team. Doesn't mean Manning is heading to Miami.

Mixed feelings about the Marshall trade....I do know the Bears came out smelling pretty....hopefully this has nothing to do with Manning, but Marshall did play with him and he is saying it does.....yuck!

Just got off the phone with a source close to this Manning situation. Says,"Don't look too far into this Marshall move." |

Also says, "First thing new coaches want to do is remove cancers for new locker room." Dophins just did that" |

I don't care what Spano says, this move reeks of "Manning to Miami".

I'm looking way too far into this Marshall move. Like a Kentucky sister diddler staring at the sun. I've gone blind from the insanity of it all.

Plenty of blather out there, although no one outside of Manning and his family have a clue.

of course he was. No one actually thinks Mia is in play for PM, the only ones that do are the same that think Tebow MUST be traded if/ when we land manning.

I question it for sure. I could give you the obvious example of him punting the football in practice but I was more concerned with his lack of effort after not receiving the huge payday he was waiting for.
I do think the lack of passion changed after either he had a big game against Dallas or NE, can't remember which. In the locker room he was a pain in the ass also. Harrison was a model player within the realm of football, Marshall wasn't. |

Spanos digging into the Marshall trade tells me he knows squat about were Peyton will play. If he was so certain about Manning signing with us...saying he had to "hold back the news", then why is he so nervous about this Marshall ordeal?
