The Raiders released starting CB Stanford Routt on Thursday and he is drawing interest from teams such as Minnesota, KC, Dallas.. and has visits to Buffalo and Tennessee scheduled.

When does Free Agency begin..? I thought it was not until April...

March 13th..

Routt has some kind of special release clause or something where he can sign before FA begins i think...good thing we arent looking at him..i could not handle the slew of yellow flags this guy produces..one of the worst in football when it comes to penalties

ya Routt gets to sign before free agency cause his contract was terminated, not expired..

Routt is a quailty db and flags can be solved with coaching, unfortunatly the Bronco's won't pay what Dallas will pay.

We need to find another Chris Harris, wow how did he get over looked in the draft?

Because he did not have outstanding measurables and played on a bad college team, so he did not get much attention.

Actually the rags out here just ripped Routt for penalties and coverage skills and Oakland couldn't be happier to get rid of him.

It'd be fantastic if the Chiefs signed him. Not only would it make their secondary worse, it would virtually guarantee that Brandon Carr hits the market.
