Default Canadian PM in China trying to sell Keystone oil

Canadian PM in China trying to sell Keystone oil, says Sen. Hoeven
Posted on February 7, 2012 by Cowboy Byte

Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) on Tuesday said that thanks to the Obama administration’s delay of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is, at this moment, hawking his nation’s excess oil to the Chinese administration.

“Right now Prime Minister Harper is talking to Hu Jintao, president of China, and believe me, China wants that oil,” Hoeven said. “[W]e will see what kind of agreement he comes back with from China.”

Harper arrived in China on Tuesday with a delegation of Canadian businessmen, and plans to meet with Chinese officials on the topic of energy.

We are buying oil from people that don't like us. Now we're giving away oil to people that don't like us. Great, just great.

I'm very sorry for not only the way our Gov't behaves, but the morons here the keep letting it happen. Some of us truly don't want things to be status quo, but the zombies out number us. While they're placated by food-like substances that drug them into a state that readily allows brainwas..err...PROGRAMMING to happen on those oh so entertaining shows, telling us what the reel world is like, how to think, and who to be...Once that system starts being disrupted, you will the how cannibalistic the western psychopath will become.

You are welcome. We aren't going to let new oil pipelines be built right over our water supply. Build around or don't build. Pretty simple.

Definition of a dumbass: Somebody who simply parrots what they hear without question.

It would be much cheaper for the Canadians to build a pipe to British Columbia and ship out the oil there. Why don't they do that? Ever ask yourself? Go find the answer to that question. Ask why they would rather send it 2000 miles south than go the less than a thousand miles to their own coast? The oil is going to be sold on the open market anyway. The oil companies will benefit, but America won't. Why should we risk one of our most crucial aquifers, an aquifer that is fundamental to much of our corn belt, so the oil companies make a little more money refining that stuff in Texas? BTW, tar sands oil is the dirtiest on the planet.

That pipeline is a **** deal for America, and Obama was right to kill it.

Trying to sell? Heck, crude sells itself these days. But i'm sure we'll become Brazil's best customer anyday now...granted, we will have subsidized their exploration and production, so we're really just tossing money down a hole.

George Soros thanks you for your business (and lack of intelligence).

Good. Oil sands are ungodly ****ing dirty and TransCanada has never built a pipeline that doesn't leak like a ****ing sieve.

This had potential to be the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history shortly after completion. Nice to see the State Dept. didn't just roll over and take another dick up the ass from private interests.

Some people are so stupid that it just makes you shake your head. Some of these troglodytes think that once us taxpayers build the oil companies their pipeline, we get the oil. Absolute bull****. We line up at the end of the pipe, like every other buyer on Earth (including the Chinese) and place our bids. If we're not the high bidder, the oil goes elsewhere. Meanwhile, we get to check the pipeline for leaks over one of our most crucial aquifers in perpetuity. What a deal!

Let's allow the Canadians to build the pipeline to British Columbia and then we'll bid on the oil. Save us all a lot of trouble.

yeah , the bedwetters dont think , i was dating a hard core right winger of a woman , she was bad , we was discussing oil , I shook my head , she said " I suppose you know all about this " ? I used my security card , I showed her around , piance creek aka county rd 5 rio blonco county , I showed her all of it , took her back to denver and broke up with her crazy biatch ....... I have been in every part of oil field from exploring to hauling the final product from the refinery I would run otr , then run the patch back and forth ........ for 20 + years .... If these people knew what I know......

Gee, a truckdriver that wont get to deliver the oil from Canada down to the shipping yards. I am sure if there was no pipeline but massive tanker trucks going from Canada to Texas, you would be all in favor of it.

Is that what you got from my post ? transporting in and out of Canada is a pain in the ass, I know alot of drivers that tell their company that they have a felony just so they cant go there , But you think you can just haul sand oil ? do you even know what the stuff is ? even if it was paying 4.80 a mile to haul , I wont haul it , no way in hell , 2 maybe 3 runs and your trailer is trashed , depending on the trailer , you can spend over a 100 grand replacing it ....... Just stop right now , you are in over your head ......

Sands oil is more of a tar , real nasty stuff , you cant get it all out of your trailer , specially since the epa outlawed using diesel to coat your trailer , that stuff sitting in your trailer for more then 10 hours , forget it , your wagon is ruined ...... build up would be so heavy you couldnt haul anything
thats why the pipeline is even being considered , but there is a reason Canada doesn want it in their country , And I dont blame them

you know shale oil is a real low grade crude , it will need additives , but that sand oil , pure garbage , I hope we are not desperate enough to use that crap , China is kinda new at this stuff, they will get bent over pretty good ............
