Default HOF/ORY

Willie Roaf, Dermonti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Curtis Martin, Cortez Kennedy.

Senior, Jack Butler

None of the WR's made it.

They showed highlights of each and I swear each was against the Broncos.

Bettis and Parcells did not make it. Appropriate

Cam Newton named offensive rookie of the year

Curtis Martin was a nice, productive and durable RB, but HoF? In the same class with Emmitt Smith or Gayle Sayers? Really? I guess the standards are simply play long enough to rack up impressive stats. That's just wrong.

Willliam Roaf is well deserved. Always wish he would leave the Saints for the Broncos. Martin had many yards but that was spread out in years past most RBs prime.

In their prime, Martin couldn't carry TD's jock. What a load of shiat.

They should call it the Hall of Lifetime achievements.

Atwater & DS49 were just as good as any of these players... Numbers aren't everything.

I could complain about Martin, but I'm pretty happy to see four linemen in one class--they're all deserving, but it's nice to see Roaf and Dawson getting recognized in particular.

This is one of those classes that ESPN won't know what to say about since there are no QB's, current analysts, or crying cowboys to promote.

i would have given the OROY award to Dalton or Green in cincinatti. both had monster seasons and led a terrible team a year ago to the playoffs this year.

Newton had an awesome year, but his presence didn't dramatically improve the Panthers.

Martin deserved it. In a time when a back who broke a thousand yards was elite, he did it for a decade straight and many of those seasons he was closer to 1500. Hell of a player and very deserving model of consistency in my eyes.

They go with the record, hard to argue against an all time record for TDs.

1000 yards rushing during a 16-game season has never been elite, IMHO.

As I said, he didn't just break 1000 yards. He had close to 2000 all purpose yards several times and rushed for over 1450 4 times with one of those being 1697 yards. A career average carry of 4.0 is not too shabby either.

he averaged 83.9 yards rushing per game.

i'm sorry, but that's not HOF worthy. at least not for what the HOF used to represent.

are you really going to be telling your grandson someday that you were lucky you got to witness "the great Curtis Martin" play during his prime? i doubt it, unless you're related to him. good player. long career. but, not HOF worthy.

Absolutely. You know why? Cause someone will be saying the same thing about Emmitt Smith who had very similar numbers and played on better teams for the majority of his career.

Emmitt 81.2 yards per game. That would be less than Martin.
