Default Lunch w/ McBean

So just had the coolest lunch experience in a while. I was at a restaurant here in BOZEMAN, MT, and chatting with the bartender and the topic of Oklahoma State comes up, as I am wearing my Nebraska hat. So sitting two seats down, a big dude says, "hey I graduated from OK State." As the conversation continues, he introduces himself as Ryan McBean, and I say, "Ryan McBean, as in the Denver Bronco?!" He gets a smirk and says, yup, that one. So I proceed to be "that guy" and talk his ear off about everything under the sun that deals with the Broncos. We sat and talked for about an hour and a half. He's a super cool dude.

Hahaha, nope.

As you can see the dude is enormous, I am 5'11" 195 and he makes me look small.

Any good gossip?!

I had a chance to talk to Eddie Royal in the offseason last year, he wouldn't give anything away.

His GF is from here but she lives in Denver now. They're visiting her family for the weekend.

Nothing other than what we pretty well know. He said he was pissed about the D coordinator leaving and didn't know a thing about Del Rio. SO I told him about Del Rio and Fox at Carolina and he says, "damn, now you've got me all excited!" Pretty cool.

You ask him if the thought Denarius McGhee was ever going to learn how to throw in the cold?

Nice. My only experience meeting a pro athlete in a non "meet-and-greet" atmosphere was Ken Daneyko in a bar here in Morristown, NJ. He's apparently a regular, so we chatted about the NJ Devils for a while (I'm a season ticket holder). He ended up buying me a shot of Blackhaus lol.

I'm not sure how many of the die-hard hockey fans are reading this thread, but he gave away some pretty cool info. Said that if he or Scott Stevens was playing today they would absolutely murder Sean Avery haha.

BMF, By any chance did someone's kid cut in front of you when you were getting his autograph?
