Shanny hired Morris to be Washington's secondary coach days ago.

He was hired with the understanding that he continue to look for DC jobs this offseason.

Though I have no idea what the Perry Fewell example at the bottom has anything to do with anything.

Good question. I think Morris would be worth looking at.

According to the paper, Morris has an understanding with coach Mike Shanahan that if he's offered a defensive coordinator job, he can bail out from Washington. Morris also has interviewed for the Vikings defensive coordinator position.

Ah, had not heard that. He's never been a DC before, and his Tampa defense was horrendous last season, so I wouldn't be terribly excited about him.

I would be OK w/ Morris. He was highly regarded as an DB coach when he got the HC job with Tampa; and I am sure Fox can relate to that.

And using the Tampa D ineptness as a reason to avoid him is simply wrong and irrelevant. The fact is, he just wasn't ready to be a HC yet, pure and simple.

With that being said, I still would rather have Jack Del Rio!
