It was awesome play. Show 3 te set so they get 2 lb on the field that haven't defended a pass in a long time and shift to shotgun spread them out. They had so many options. Fade to green, could run with 6 OL or fo what they did depending on how cincinatti decided to defend it. No way burfict or rey could cover any of our TE even Clark(well maybe but only if he dropped pass). Great play call.

Yeah that was pretty sweet, we lined up in a power goal line formation, then switched out to that look and completely caught Cincy by surprise.

Something else I noticed was Decker's first touchdown was the exact same play as one of his earlier touchdowns this year. It seems they like to run it anywhere from 10-20 yards out of the end zone.

this line up makes hella since on the goaline. Go big, big bodies that can out muscle, out reach the smaller DBs. Confuse the LBers. Keep a RB in place just to freeze a LBer or provide a dumpoff. As others have mentioned, lots of options. It totally baffled the Bengels, Dreesen was wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open.

Nice catch Rev!
The play happened so fast and it was obviously well designed, but I didn't really get a good look at the personnel in there. Makes sense now. |

In Seattle: 4-0 with wins over Dallas, Green Bay, New England and Minnesota by an average of 8 points per game. Away from Seattle: 1-4 with the only win being Carolina and losses to St. Louis, San Fransisco, Arizona and Detroit losing by an average of 3 points per game. They have only scored more than 20 points in 1 of their 5 away games and that was against Detroit, at home they have scored more than 20 in 3 out of 4. Seattle has by a wide margin the biggest homefield advantage of any team due to the very long travel distance every team but Denver has, but also a very big away disadvantage for the same reason. I would predict they win at home against Arizona, St Louis and the Jets but lose at home to San Fransisco and I imagine they will drop all 3 remaining away games. |

Nice find. Did you notice anything match up wise on the defensive side of the ball for the Broncos?

The podcast has things on Ayers, Bailey, and Moore in some good depth a long with quick notes on Harris and Carter, as well. |

This play was brilliant due to the match ups as pointed out... Bengals defenders got their assignments mixed up and mis matches across the field... put the defense into a "thinking" mode.
I don't believe there was a screen being sold here, however you can make an argument... I personally think the defense got confused on match ups and responsibilities, while they looked to be playing zone... and these types of plays where the TE ends up at the back of the endzone running out work great against goal line zone coverages...Patriots run this all the time against zone goal line. It's hard to tell without game tape of more games to see what the defense ran there, but obviously the Broncos saw something in tape that made them draw up that play. If Tamme would have just ran an out route at the top of the endzone with Dreessen running and 1 or 2 yard in, Tamme probably would have been wide open too (not as open as Dresssen on this play though). 58 Mualuga's technique was so far off to really stop any passing play at the upper right half the endzone... and 99 Lawson would have been taken out by any short quick route by Dreessen. Good work Last edited by Action; 11-10-2012 at 03:43 PM.. |

Yeah, good stuff this week. You'd already talked about it in the podcast so I'd gone back and looked at the play already, but this is more like the kinda stuff I want to see from you for sure.
Disappointing to see how down you continue to be on Von Miller though. More spiteful, negative comments in this article despite him having a career game, can't you give the guy props just once? We all know you're gay for Patrick Peterson but Miller is by far the better player. ![]() |

Action - yes screen. Dreessen slips past because the defender's trying to get past a block that never comes.

It's all getting a bit out of hand at this point IMO.
I'm living in Melbourne right now, yesterday I was drinking a Fosters in the city and on the wall beside me in massive writing there was graffiti that just said I h8 Von Miller - teh Rev I just don't see why you hate him so much, and am worried that soon this hate may consume you. |

McCoy is the best OC we have had since Kubes left.
Love how they dictate the Defensive package by showing jumbo and then go wide. This should also work on 3rd and short as well. Got to love Fox trusting his guys! |
