The media intrigue that Tebow brings is half the fun of this ride.

Nothing makes me happier to know that I could turn on BSPN or the NFL Network and within 5 min. I will have comprehensive coverage of my beloved Denver Broncos. Not to mention how crazy it makes all the chef fans here in KC......

I wore Tebow jersey today to go rent some DVDs and go to the grocery store. The clerk at the video store straight out told me he hates Tebow but was cool about it of course being 6'2 and 265 pounds probably factored in the equation. At the grocery store I was getting glares in fact the cashier pretended to be busy doing something else as opposed to scanning my items and then no one would bag my groceries so I had to do it myself.

It reminds me of the halcyon days of when I would wear John Elway's jersey around town. Love it!

That was awesome, but didn't you hear, that pass play was illegal?

Was Tim Tebow's game-winning touchdown pass for Denver Broncos an illegal play?

Here is a pre-snap screen grab before the Denver Broncos game-winning TD pass by Tim Tebow against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Was this an illegal formation? In order to be legal, seven players must be on the line of scrimmage no more than one yard off of it. Was the player highlighted in red on the line as the seventh man? Or was he illegally lined up?

Were Tim Tebow's final-play heroics for the Broncos against the Steelers divine intervention or inaction by the officials during Sunday's playoff game?
Upon further review, it appears as though the Broncos may have been lined up in an illegal formation.
The NFL rulebook says the following about offensive player positioning at the snap:
Article 1: Offensive Team. The offensive team must be in compliance with the following at the snap:
(a) It must have seven or more players on its line (3-18); and
(b) All players who are not on the line, other than the receiver of the snap under center, must be at least
one yard behind it.
No player may be out of bounds.
In the picture of the Broncos' alignment at the 20-yard line before the snap, it appears that only six players were on the line of scrimmage. The potential seventh, highlighted, was behind the 19 and therefore not on the line of scrimmage. If he was off the line, the Broncos should have been penalized five yards for an illegal formation -- and Tebow's game-winning touchdown pass wouldn't have counted.
Mike Pereira, the NFL's former Vice President of Officiating, was asked on Twitter whether Tebow's winning touchdown pass was an illegal formation.
"Watch on any Sunday. This is a good formation compared to many. They are not technical with this," Pereira responded, after seeing the picture accompanying this article.
What do you think? Are there six or seven players on the line of scrimmage?

Freakin Raider fans in the bay area are strait losers.

This came up on Twitter, and Mike Pereira said it wasn't that big of a missed call - it happens a lot and they are rarely picky:

Conan was bagging on Tebow and the Broncos in his monologue , the week Patsies beat us. Pats are his team, he's from Chowderland. So I expect the same ribbing after this weekend from coco win or lose. I couldnt care less really, esp. since he doesnt know much about football, his writers make the jokes for him.

The Tebow-helped-by-god thing is pretty much endless humor. Someone should make a really great god costume for games at Mile High.

You know, considering that Tebow is the one that supposedly injects his religion into football, everybody else can't really stay away from it, either.
