Default Stop acting like this isn't a game we can win, we are finally back in the playoffs!

First of all big ups to the Broncos for getting back to the playoffs its been a long time coming

Forget the last 3 games this is the playoffs. We already got 3 things going good for us.

No Rashard Mendenhall
No Ryan Clark, he can't play in Denver
Big Ben can't really scramble, hes hurting hes not himself

The media will give us shot a lot of the fans will not be feeling confident, I think all that goes in our favor for some reason we play better when our backs are against the wall and when we are counted out.

Go back and watch the 49ers destroy the Steelers we need to have a similar gameplan, Ben is an average QB when he can't be himself, their RBs have fumble issues w/ Mendenhall out.

The #1 thing that should scare us thats not the defense is those WRs but like I said you can take those guys out if you can disrupt ben.

We couldn't have caught the Steelers at a better time IMO.

Little speedy guys give us fits and they have a couple of them. We have got to get some kind of a pass rush to neutralize the down-field threat and take advantage of a gimpy rapist.

One of the bigger things I think is going to be how our safeties play, one mistake from them and Wallace/Brown is streaking for a TD. If they can play a decent game we shouldn't have too many problems with Pitt's Offense.

On D they like to blitz a lot and that could play to our run-run-run game. If we establish the run early we could set some easy stuff up for Tim to get him into a rhythm. We should focus more on the short dump off passing game, less going deep with Polamalu patrolling back there.

After the last three games it's hard to feel confidence in this team, but I could see us taking this one if things fall the right way.

Please. Did you miss yesterday's game. A far worse team in KC was missing their top 2 RBs, QB, #1 safety, #1 receiver for 3/4 of the game, etc. And do we really need to go through the list of all the other teams that were missing key guys this year? It doesn't make much difference. We make backups look like all pros. It's been this way for years.

This would be a great time to get back at the Steelers for 2005.

We are the underdog, they are susceptible to defeat.

The offense is due a good game.

We had our own backups out there. Both starting DT's, the starting safety, all 3 WR's, Kuper's replacement, McGahee's serial replacements, etc.

To get into the playoffs we did blows.

If someone had said I'd be sat here getting ready for a WC matchup at the beginning of the year I would've been ecstatic. But right now, I just couldn't care less about next week.

Yup, and we will again this weekend against a much better team. Point?

This thread is about the health of the other team and us taking advantage of it. We haven't really be able to do that all year.

The fact of the matter is that their Defense vs. our Offense is a cataclysmic mismatch. There's probably some college teams right now that could go out and move the ball more effectively against the steelers then we could.

If we want to have any chance at scoring points next sunday and keeping this game close then we need to be looking to strike on long pass plays. If its 3rd and 7,8,9 then we should just be throwing it up and hoping for a miraculous catch or a flag. Just keep chucking it deep and we're bound to catch a couple. I mean we're going to be punting anyway.

Maybe we could do that and get lucky on special teams and have a couple good returns. Maybe snag a turnover or two. Keep the score around 14-10 or so.

That's the only way i see us winning. Take a bunch of shots downfield and make some plays on special teams.

Yeah, sorry. We put up 3 vs. KC yesterday......how many do you think we'll score vs. the #1 defense in points allowed??

Our offense sucks....and our pass rush has disappeared the last 3 games.

Nope....can't say I'm confident about this at all. But yeah....it's nice to have another game to watch.

Why is the screen not in our playbook?

Eddie Royal in space can be very dangerous.

Makes you wonder what our offensive coach is smoking.

Miller is playing injured and appears to be suffering rookie syndrome. The pro season is a lot longer than college.

Von really got faked out of the play on McCluster's TD run.

The thought of Wallace blowing past our rookie safeties scares me. A lot.

And you know Harrison is going to take some shots on Tebow.

I will take a playoff game over not having a playoff game any time of the week. We have a fighters chance and we have to take it.

A less predictable offense would be nice against a great defense, but not sure the Bronco coaching staff can pull it off since they haven't really done that yet. Let's face it, if Tebow has to be held back that much since he can not supposedly throw short passes, screen passes, and maybe a long pass here and there, then why did they even bother having this guy on the team? To satisfy some fans? Please, like they care that much.

Someone help me out here. I've seen 2 people post that Ryan Clark "can't play in Denver".

What did I miss? I'm assuming he has a health condition that requires him not playing in high altitude??

The predictability for the offense is getting really old for me. Its not good play calling to just run into the pile twice every series.

He has suckle cell, something with the altitude could make him very sick. On that note, I say we trade for him.

On the game, we haven't had a pass tush in three weeks. Ben is going to absolutely eat us alive if we don't fix that.

I believe he stayed home in Pittsburgh for that game.

I was pretty disheartened watching the way we got in... but getting the Steelers may be a blessing in disguise. This is not the same team they have been in years past and are ripe for the picking IF we put together and execute a offensive gameplan that actually tries to score a few points.

Because the QB forgot how to throw again. He hit some kind of wall of suck the last two weeks.

why a screen?
defenses are playing with discipline and playing contain
with press man coverage

Our playoff chances are going to live and die with Timy's ability to beat man coverage
