Default Denver snowstorm

Off topic I know, but this is ridiculous. It started at 5pm and it's already piling up badly. Expecting 6 - 14 inches. Boulder County is getting 2 inches an hour, Loveland, Boulder are now on high accident alert.

Be careful out there people.

We got home from the hospital with time to buy some things before it really started coming down. It's brutal outside.

48 degrees in EL Paso but might snow on friday.

I'm retired so could give a crap..

Once I left Denver and moved to Syracuse NY I found out what snow was..

Christmas eve 1979 between midnite and 0600 23.5" not counting drifted snow..

Roads were passable by 1100..

Had enough of that crap moved to LA the next summer and have never looked back..

Now in ELP and although we are going into Monsoon season right now (just in time for the "Sun Bowl").

Glad it is Y'all and not me, be safe on those roads..

Started snowing in Florence about 8pm, got about 3 inches or so since then. Still coming down. Can't see street lights 50 feet away from my window. Damn you, Sangre De Cristos...Damn you.

The fact that I can tell that first car is a Subaru, means that isn't that bad a storm.

Damn, I really miss Denver (and Boulder) winters.

Out here in Seattle, we'll get an epic ice storm every 3 years or so, and maybe some slushy snow now and then. But it's hard to beat the REAL winter storms that Denver and the surrounding areas get year in and year out.

I'm jealous.
