Default Top 10 free agents pickups/Broncos 3 of 10

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300..._atn_wesseling

I think the free agent I'm most dissappointed in is TJ Ward. Just my opinion. Credit Elway though with 3 pickups in top 10. Free agents have a long history of not working out.

Yup, 3 out of 10 is great. There's no way though I would put Tate as #1, that's insane.

We gain 3 of the top 10, the Chiefs and Raiders each lose 1 of the top 10.

Comparing Ward to Mike Adams is like comparing prime rib to bologna. HUGE upgrade, if you ask me.

Part of the reason he was brought in was not just for his play making abilities, but also his attitude and tenacity on the field. We needed that brought back in on defense. He's got that nasty edge to him, where last year we didn't really have that in our players on D.

Because he has been a stud every single game basically. He has 55 catches and 800 yards halfway through the year.

Ward was not brought in because he can cover like Champ Bailey, he was brought in because he brings a nasty disposition to our defense, like Atwater and Smith did

Two seasons in a row Elway has signed offensive free agents named 1st team All-Pro.

Sanders might not rise to that level, but one thing's for sure: John has sick pro-player evaluation skills.

Seahawks EFFFFED up! Word is Percy Harvin and Golden Tate came to blows at least twice, meaning one had to go. OOPS!

And speaking of "OOPS," sportstalk guy on North Sound 1380 says the Marshawn Lynch trade was scuttled when the Raiders front office started announcing they were trading for Lynch, apparently WAY jumping the gun. Schneider supposedly loudly asked within earshot of some media "what kind of amateurs do they have running that franchise?"

And now look who's coming to town! The running back-less, win-less Raiders ...

Tate has been a one-man wrecking crew, i'd have him #1 too.

That's what I expected of him, but so far he has been a disappointment to me. Maybe because im thinking of our former Safeties like Dawkins, Lynch, Atwater and Smith. I think I hyped him up too much in my mind when we were getting him.

What made Atwater and Smith great safety's is not allowed in the NFL anymore.

Im not sure how anyone could have looked at the highlight reels and thought we were getting dawkins lynch or atwater. You people got way ahead of yourselves. Hes not really a great cover safety and hes not always a sure tackler but he does bring attitude, strength, and versatility to the safety position and is light years better than Adams.

I think its testament to the success of our FA aquisitions that a guy who is merely solid (Ward) is considered a disappointment.

I'm happy with Ward but overall I'm impressed with how well all of our FAs have fitted in. All have been carefully selected, although I do believe Jairus Byrd was actually our #1 target at that position and he arguably has not done as well (but then their defense is less good in NO also...)

I think both Talib and Sanders should be ahead of Ware but other than that, good list.

I think Albert and Peppers are too high and Sanders should be #2 followed by Ware at #3.

Sanders has added a totally new dimension to the Broncos O that teams didn't have to worry about last year. DT is fast but Sanders gives them a true burner with quickness to boot.

Ware was a great pickup but all he has done is not suck. Von is still the rusher knocking QB's out of games and making the big impact. Ware is feasting on the leftovers.

IMO: Ware should've been #1 and it's not even close.

I could see how one could say that but look at Sanders stats then look at DT's to start the season up until the Cards game. It took DT until the 4th game of the year to get going when he exploded against the Cards #2 CB and has taken off since then.

Sanders kept the O on track and gave Manning a viable go to option while DT struggled to start the year and Wes was out on suspension.

Ware has been Ware which is great and all but Von is damn near 100% and the form he had in 2012, he would be a wrecking crew no matter who is lined up on the other side and Jackson and Smith are close to breaking through as legit pass rush threats in their own rights. Plus we have the benefit of Wolfe returning to form as well over the last 2 weeks.

Love having Ware on the team but Sanders has added a new dimension to the team. One could argue that Sanders has been a spark plug in the locker room as well.

What is awesome about Elway is that he didn't "Not spend the money" on Ware hoping Smith and Jackson would complement Von on the other side, he went out and made the obvious move because he knew it would pay off. He really signed Sanders for depth and long term but Sanders paid off early when we needed him to buy time for Wes and DT. Sanders has been the bigger surprise because no one expected him to be a plug and play clutch player he has become here in Denver, not sure LaFell would have been able to do the same types of things Sanders has done.

Sanders #2 without a doubt. We would not be 6-1 without him.

Sanders is on pace for a 1600 yard season and was picked up for 6 mil. a year.

Winner.

All you need to ask is if Broncos fans happy with Sanders. He might not be first all pro but he came in as a 2nd or 3rd option and to me, he has passed all fandom tests. He has caught some incredible catches and has passed Decker as a replacement IMO.

Newest FA pickup Douglas McNeill. Catch at 50 seconds is pretty cool even in street ball
