Default Vonn-Tebowing

Lindsey Vonn breaks out a very solid version of Tebowing. (Alessandro Trovati/Associated Press)

Gold medalist Vonn added to Tebowing celebrity database

The incredible reach of "Tebowing" now has extended into the ranks of American Olympic heroes.

Lindsey Vonn, a world-class skier who captured gold and bronze medals at the 2010 Vancouver Games, dropped to one knee after winning Wednesday's super-G in Beaver Creek, Colo.

Vonn pulled a similar stunt after winning another event in Canada last week, according to UniversalSports.com.

(Apparently, Lindsey Vonn just flies around North America winning things. Good work if you can get it.)

Vonn befriended Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow -- the inspiration for "Tebowing" and so much more -- at a recent charity golf event. Robby Tebow, brother of Tim, also is a friend of Vonn's and attended the Beaver Creek event.

Vonn asked Robby for approval before striking the famous pose.

"I said that if I won in Colorado, or at home, that I would do it," Vonn said, according to The Denver Post. "Go Broncos. I did it. Got to represent."

It remains to be seen if Vonn will inspire other notable Olympians to Tebow. Tonya Harding fans, stay alert.

It's almost laughable, barring a Tebow meltdown losing streak, that Elway and Bowlen don't go with tebow for at least another yr to see how good he can be. He's just friggin popular, and quite frankly to marketable of a brand for any businessman to part with. They want Superbowls but filling the seats and good tv ratings really the goal. They just figure if you aren't a contender then you won't get those things.

Hell Tebow could probably get a stadium built if Denver needed one by just asking people to donate for it lol. He's got star potential and IMO we just have to try and make it work.

If we are fortunate, in 15-17 years after a few superbowl titles and a 2nd HOF QB career.

Hopefully never, but I imagine it'll be more like when He has an inevitable bad game.

They'll come crawling out the woodwork to tear him down!

I thought this was going to be something about Von Miller tebowing when I opened the thread.

Good news is that Lindsey Vonn is way hotter.

What makes you think people don't pray when they Tebow? Also was the TD salute offensive to the military or did they like it? It's ok to mimic something as long as it's done with a good heart. I don't get the feeling anyone making fun of praying, it's just a phenomenon and can't be measured or quantified using normal thinking.

Oh and I tebowed the other night on stage after a really good solo! the crowd loved it!

please, right now the majority; i am talking at least 95%(and that is lowballing) of the people doing this Tebowing thing are just doing it because it is a current fad and not to pray. it is like people doing the Captain Morgan, "got a little captain in you?" pose a few years ago. it is a fad, and it is a stupid one.

and i am not really caring about the religious aspect of it, just that it is stupid.

TD's salute was a Broncos thing, and fans adopted it. it didn't go world wide and turn into a douchey thing to do just for fun. it was a game time celebration for Broncos and fans and nothing else.

i get it, i understand why people are doing it, i know it is going to be around for awhile, but i am firmly in the minority of people who thinks it is stupid.
