MNF has been filled with Tebow talk and Tebow references...and I missed the first three quarters.
Some highlights: -"Te-bow!" chants from the crowd. - Several different fans holding up signs saying some variation of "Trade for Tebow" - John Gruden talking about Tim Tebow, John Fox, and the Broncos on a few different occasions. - Tebow highlights showing his game-winning plays ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Its nice to be the team that has Tebow. Dude's a star. Not only is he a star, but at the same time he's an underdog. He's also a good dude who you want your kid to look up to. Last edited by epicSocialism4tw; 12-05-2011 at 08:46 PM.. |

I have had it on in the background and they have brought it up when it was relevant (all those empty seats!) and just when Gruden gets bored.
When Billy Volek is playing, I'd rather talk Tebow too though! |

Nothing he said isn't true. After being a joke for 5 years we're beginning to be nationally relevant again with a great kid at QB. We could be the Jags with empty stadiums and nothing to play for. Would you prefer that?

At the beginning of the year the Jags should have done all they could to get Tebow in a trade. I was so glad they didn't, but for them it was more than stupid to not do it. If they had that stadium would have been filled to the brim and overflowing tonight.

I've been watching the whole game and only heard tebow's name only a couple of times, mostly talking about last weeks game in san diego and the playoff race.
The dumbest thing I heard was gruden in the first quarter say "Rivers is still the best QB in the AFC" ? I like Gruden cause he evaluates players unbiased but wtf |

If the Jags draft Tebow, Weaver doesn't have to sell the team. That's how big a **** up that was. It still boggles my mind.

Jacksonville's empty stadium + Blaine Gabbert + what there is of a fanbase clamoring for a QB on another team = as depressing atmosphere you'll see this year in the NFL outside Lucas Oil Field.

To be fair to the Jaguars, picking Tebow at 12 was very early. As badly as the Broncos were criticized for taking him at 25, I can only imagine the field day people like Mel Kiper would have had if he was picked at 12.
Either they or Buffalo would have took him the 2nd round probably. |

On a similar note, its pretty crazy that Tebow is getting first billing over a QB who is having arguably the greatest season a QB has ever had. Tebow just got an extended segment on the post-MNF sportscenter before they gave Rodgers' Packers a short blurb before changing subjects.
Teebs is a media magnet. |

Is kinda what I meant when I mentioned M.J. in my Tebow media thread.
If the kid keeps winning get ready for a hell of a ride Broncos fans. |

I am slightly amused by the b****iness with the Tebow comments. They complain Tebow is being talked about all the time...but they are the ones doing most of the talking.

Let me also say like I said in that media thread once every few days I go to youtube and just search Tebow and sort it by upload date just mostly to see how many new ones are added a day and it's insane...
Like here's one added today with Bill Cosby mentioning Tebow as he does PR for a upcoming show in Denver. And Bill ask his Denver fans to "ask" Tim Tebow to help him out and I guess have god make the weather be nice or some crap ... But it's just insane the coverage Tebow is getting and if he progresses and keeps winning we should embrace it. Edit Didn't notice Dagmar's use of this vid in the other thread till now .oops Last edited by TDmvp; 12-05-2011 at 09:47 PM.. |
