Default Gators Percy Harvin and Marcus Thomas on Tebow

"I've definitely seen that a couple times from No. 15," said Vikings receiver Percy Harvin, a former Tebow teammate at the University of Florida. "When I hear all those ESPN commentators say, 'He can't do this,' I laugh. After the game, I whispered in his ear, 'Let 'em keep hating. Keep 'em hating on you.' "

Has he clinched the right to become their indisputable quarterback of the future?

"Most definitely he should be," said Broncos defensive tackle Marcus Thomas, who also was Tebow's teammate at Florida. "You know I've always been a Tebow man. He's always been going through this where people didn't believe in him. I was criticizing him his freshman year in college."

Wait a minute. Tebow was getting knocked by his fellow Gators?

"Everybody was," Thomas said. "But he always proved us wrong. It was the way he threw. We had Chris Leak and Tebow would come in throwing the way he throws. We'd be like, 'Oh, man, he can't do this.' But everything about him is a winner. Ever since his freshman year, we all knew he was the real deal. He proved us all wrong."

If we could get Harvin somehow and put him in there with Thomas and Decker that would be sick. He'd be a big threat to break one even on bubble screens from Tebow. Get him involved on the shovel options too off motion. I bet he'd look great in O&B streaking down the field from the slot on those shotgun PA option fakes. He's done it all before.

A big time deep threat coupled with Decker underneath and Bey Bey on the other side? That'd be absolutely sick...

Harvin isn't a free agent until 2014.

"I mean, the dude lit us up," Vikings star defensive end Jared Allen said. "I would have bet my paycheck that he would not have beat us passing the ball. Hats off to him. He's a competitor."

I'd prefer if the Broncos used the draft to build around Von Miller but I do like speedsters Jeffrey Demps and Joe Adams. They can help the offense.

How exactly are we going to get Harvin? Without trading way too much for him that is? Dude is a young explosive receiver who could possibly top 1000 yards receiving on a team that has seriously struggled at QB all year. Why would Minnesota let him go?

Felix Jones might be a possibility. That dude might be a good option for Denver.

Harvin would be awesome to have in this offense. Maybe in a couple years when he is a free agent. I remember rumblings about the Vikings looking to trade him because they were frustrated with how often he was off the field, but I can't imagine they are looking to move him now that his migraine issues are under control.

Harvin not going anywhere. But we can still look for WR that can motion into backfield and play like he does.

I know its not feasible, that's why I said "somehow". I was just thinking of the possibilities if we got him. I do agree with 24 that the draft is the best way to go, considering that in all likelihood Bowlen is going to take advantage of the final pre-cap floor year, so expect to be 25m under...again.

The question will be how to amass selections. I think they'll dangle some guys out again to pick up a couple more picks. Obviously, there are needs on both sides of the ball that need to be filled.

Last season, Correll Buckhalter was very successful with Tebow.

The Broncos need to replace him with a similar player. That much is evident. Throwing screens to Lance Ball only gets you as many yards as there are in front of him. He's not going to make plays with his legs. Denver needs a player who catches a short pass and not only exploits the space, but is killer out there. A player like that will devastate the defense both in terms of production and in terms of the psychological toll they take with repeated big gains.

Broyles is an ankle-breaker. He'll drop in the draft due to his coming off of a serious injury.

He's looked fine post-injury so I don't see that being much of an issue. I think he'll go in the 2nd. If he's still there when our 2nd round pick comes around we'd be stupid not to grab him.

More Harvin:

"He's a winner," said Harvin, who scored twice for Minnesota. "From all the things you hear about, you may think it's too much. That's what he is. You can see team after team he goes to, a lot of people say the same thing. You've got to believe the guy, or at least believe his teammates. He's a great leader."

Not that big of a fan, but Reggie Bush would be the perfect fit for an offense like ours.

Here is an article from a Minnesota paper. At least nice to see writers in other towns with an open mind about Tebow. And a few Bronco fans around here as well. Here are some highlights of it:

"Just to be up front, I wish the Vikings had 44 Tim Tebows."

"I wish they had 44 solid, respectful, genuine, caring human beings. I wish they had 44 winners."

"Meanwhile, some guys just know how to win. I find myself becoming an admirer of Tim Tebow. People who take shots at him because of his beliefs can go to hell."

"Over the top? If that's what makes a decent person, everyone should be over the top. Anyone who has a problem with him should redirect their concern to the ultra-religious who strap themselves with explosives and blow up shopping malls. Then they'd have a legitimate gripe."

that's the headline and the subheading. either they need a better editor, or they are expecting to lose to the Broncos next week too.
