Default Another Von Miller thread

Anyone else find themselves remembering on almost every single defensive drive just how crucial he (a dominant pass-rusher) is to this D?

I mean, we all know it... but wow was it plain as day watching this game.

Haggan played fine, actually. But, this D is absolutely built around Miller and the havoc he creates up front.

No real point to this thread, other than even in a week he's not playing... Miller is in the forefront of Broncos fans' minds.

Look forward to having him back next week. Bears O-line gave up 7 sacks today.

It would help alot if the refs would call holding on any opponent Doom faces I mean it's almost always blatantly clear

Loved seeing him hop after the Haggan INT. Von Miller seems like a really smart dude and a team player.

Yea, Haggan did his sack dance today, too. (Which I can't quite figure out what it is yet... but my daughter and I were doing it around the house today.)

All those 3rd down conversion passes made it painfully obvious how much this defense needs Miller. He would've probably gotten a sack or two and some key pressures in those situations that would've allowed us to get off the field.

Why is it so obvious to us but nobody else? It feels like he's been held on damn near every play of his career and almost never gets a call.

Honestly, Fox and Co need to start petitioning about it. **** needs to be recognized.

That hand to the face nonsense was deplorable.

I agree about Dumerville too. I would think Fox & Co. would have a quite a few plays they could turn into the league/ refs after todays game. I wonder if they even critique the plays/ penalties or just round file them.

It was, and also absolultey clear to me the D needs more attention in the draft than the offense does.

Ponder had all day to get rid of the ball. It was ridiculous how badly a rookie QB shredded the pass defense. We need both Miller and Dumervil to have a shot against good teams.

I'd probably rest Von against Chicago if he's nowhere near 100%.

Once they started to recognize the blitz packages, there was very little pressure. That doesn't happen when Von is on the field.

They said on the broadcast today that he was held out because they were worried about the incision possibly getting infected, not the hand injury itself. I see no reason why he won't play next week with the club. It'll be harder to intercept passes, but he will still be able to bury Hanie!

Exactly .. the Vikings adjusted to the pass rush and dumped off the ball better.

I believe that you can't under the CBA until the final year of his existing one...

It is clear the Bronco secondary is a work in progress than needs some more young talent, mainly at CB. Having a great pass rush helps negate a poor secondary of course, but the defense would be much better with better CB's. It would also be great if they could somehow make a trade for Harvin, who is what Royal will never become for the Broncos.

It's pretty clear to me that they both need a fair bit of attention.

you build your team through the draft , supplement it through F.A. , maybe it is just me , but O players over the last 5 years been easier to get then real solid d players for this team ... Draft D then work the O through F.A. ...

I think this is a good year to go BPA in the draft... though if all things are equal, I still think the priority is on both lines, and then maybe MLB after that.
CB is an obvious need but I'd rather grab a solid vet in FA than **** around trying to develop a kid for years. We've got a couple of young guys who are playing nickel well now, as well.
