Technically you could go even further back and point out the ****ed up return by Bowe that ended up in a fumble and cost us the AFC West to San Diego. If that never happened, Shanahan wouldn't have been fired that year. None of this would have happened...but it did and here we are.

So in essence. Our entire shape as a franchise from that date has been literally forged by Dwayne Bowe's hands.

it's easier to just say...

Orton sucked too much to continue to be a Bronco.
Orton didn't suck enough not to be a Chef.

This is cool it also shows a good breakdown of everything we got for Cutler. Cutler & Johnny Knox for Orton, Ayers, Decker, Demaryius Thomas, and 1/2 of Tebow. We win in my book!

Hope you're being sarcastic.

That's awful compensation.

Hard to call that a win at this point. I think in the end, it probably will be a win on the strength of Tebow and Decker. Ayers and Thomas are pretty disappointing, Decker is a solid #2, and at this point, Tebow is a wild card.

Really, come back and give a time warranted review in a couple of years. Ayers is playing better than he's ever done this year, as is Decker, Tebow is winning games and if he is not Denver's future he'll bring in excellent compensation (minimum 1st rd pick, the jersey sales in Florida alone would account for that). Thomas has the potential, so who knows.

You really think anybody is giving the Broncos a 1st round pick for Tebow? No chance.

This would have been a huge win if McDaniels would have traded Orton last season right before the trade deadline when Ortons could have actually garnished a 1st round pick.

It was clear by then to me that Orton was costing us games despite looking stellar with the stats he managed in between the 20's outside of clutch redzone.

Not trading Orton when he had the chance was McDaniels was IMO what actually cost Josh his Job. I mean watching Tebow turn the tide of this season...

WOW I am so dumbfounded, can we get a first round pick for John Fox?

Tebow has had 8 starts and is on pace to have 30 TD's, has won 5 of those games on a team that was losing 80% of its games, and the fans already have him on the trading blocks, how ungreatful can you be, considering this is Thankgiving weekend to boot?

Ayers is average, to above average.
Decker is a decent #2 receiver.
Tebow isn't even wanted on this team, no way he brings in 'excellent' compensation.
"Thomas has the potential" is code for 'is ****'.

Cutler > any of those players.
Knox > Thomas and isn't all that far behind Decker.

The trade had the potential to be a good one considering the excellent compensation we got. But in true McDaniels form, he pissed it all away.

The compensation of winning is not enough eh? Have you grown so accustomed to losing that you want to cast off a winner as if he were an albatrous?

You need to take off the Tebow goggles and look at this from a business stand point. If a team was to trade for Tebow, they would have to be committed to running a certain style of offense and having right players around him. That also includes the right head coach and offensive coordinator that feel secure enough in their jobs if Tebow experiment fails.

Because most teams are extremely conservative they aren't going to make that commitment, thus decreasing the trading pool and reducing the draft market value.

Looks like Adam Webber just got jacked from the practice squad to the back up position. Guess EFX believed Adam gives the team a better chance to win headed into the play-offs than Orton does if Tebow goes down. Brilliant~!!

Elway must be on vacation or scouting QB's this week or something?

You would think that since the team already had Webber on the roster, that they would have attempted to shore up other units by either giving Tebow more weapons or shore up the defense instead.

I took a few minutes yesterday seeing the lack of urgency to fill the vacant spot, we could have actually made the roster stronger while still assuring Adams place on the roster, by allowing the respective prospect a couple months to adjust to the scheme prior to heading into the post season.

I can't help but acknowledge this move as an opportunity lost, much like the first 5 starts of the season along with TC and preseason.

This is just a small sample of practice squad players of interest from other teams, with solid units at the respective positions...

Matt Kroul, DT 6-3 300 Jet's
Jamie Cumbie, DT Clemson 6-7 290 Raiders
Dre Moore, DT 6-4 307 Jags
Rob Callaway, DT Saginaw Valley State 6-5 312 Cowbows

Kevin Brock, TE Rutgers 6-5 260 Raiders
Darius Hill, TE Jags
Brett Brackett TE, Penn State 6-6 246 ~ Eagle Practice Squad
Daniel Hardy, Idaho TE 6-4 249 Saints

Caleb King RB Georgia Vikings
DuJuan Harris, RB, Troy 4.4 40 ~ Jags Practice Squad
Ian Johnson, RB 5-11 212 Boise State 49ers
Keon Lattimore, RB 5-11 222 Maryland 49ers
Shaun Chapas, RB Georgia 6-2 247 Cowboys

Chris DeGeare, G 6-4 335 Wake Forest Vikings
Chris Campbell, Eastern Illinois T 6-5 327 Packers

Phil Trautwein, Florida T 6-6 310 Saints
Fenuki Tupou, Oregon T 6-5 323 Saints

The only experiment failing here is the one aiming to make Tebow out to be something that he is not.

The Tebow experiment? Why is it such an experiment? Because he was one of the greatest QB's in college football history? Because he is on pace for 30 TD's and 8 Int's in his first 16 starts? Because he takes a team that was losing 80% of its games, and a coach who actually had a losing record and turned them into winners? As if Fox was the right head coach for the Job?

I need to take my goggles off?

I think Ayers has shown that he's not a bust this season.
