Default Early Games

Oakland @ Minnesota is the big one for us.

And damn does the CBS crew despise Tebow/Denver. An "Orton comeback package" lmao.

I'm on the Countdown on ESPN and Tom Jackson is doing his best to defend Tebow.

When games start, I'll be on Redzone channel.

The only early games I'll see as significant are the Cinci - Balt and Oak - Minn. I'll be keeping an eye out for them while writing a paper about "The Road Not Taken" by Frost.

It's gon' be a good day, Tater.

They're talking about an interesting thing on the Countdown: GB receivers have all been together for years now so they have such continuity that things like the timing are an afterthought. They also hit on the chemistry issues when talking about the Eagles.

Building from the draft is better for depth and salary but the continuity from keeping your own players in conjunction with the chemistry from growing together year after year just can't be underestimated. We've all seen it before but it's a definite reinforcement of the concept.

Those seem mutually exclusive. Minn wins this game running and stopping Palmer. If either team gets 25, Oakland wins it, I think.

Is there a dumber segment than the Mayne Event?

Today's was Mayne and Devin Hester trying to return things that a store doesn't sell and when they said no to Mayne, he called over Hester and Hester could return it - presumably under the guise of 'Hester returns everything'.

It was as dumb as last weeks and the one before that...

"Andy Dalton is on a historic pace with 14 touchdowns in his last 9 games..."

Stick to working on your back, Josina.

Dan Marino said Dolphins would use a 2 QB system back in the day.

From what I hear from the FO, the next qb up, if TT got injured, would be Quinn any ways. And they would go back to the conventional offense. Makes me think Ortons done, at least for the Broncos.

Too much could go wrong if Orton went back in:

He could press trying to prove himself the better QB.

He could succeed then we have QB controversy issues again when we already know he couldn't cut it long term.

He could fail and cause problems in the locker room if they thought he didn't care anymore.

Going to Quinn gives him a chance to see if anything works.

We also need the Titans, Ravens, and Bengals to lose. Ravens play the Bengals though so we can't have a perfect day there.

It's amazing to think how terrible the AFC is this year.
