Amazing game by the defense. Goodman was so bad but redeemed himself obviously. Miller was great. It's so fun to watch the defense progress.

Miller is a stud.

I wouldn't go that far. It's far and away better than last year, but the secondary is still a huge liability. Honestly I think they are just solidly mediocre right now, but that feels like dominant after the crap we've had to suffer through over the past five or so years.

Tim Tebow and Von Miller appear to be the building blocks of the Broncos from here on out. I knew without a doubt that Miller was about to abuse Sanchez on that last drive. Fox has been infamous in the past for being conservative, but you can't possibly blame him for putting these two guys in their best positions to succeed. A 4-3 linebacker with 9.5 sacks just over halfway through the season and a quarterback who defies all convention with a 4-1 record? He's putting his players in the best position to succeed and is winning games because of it.

Having Doom getting healthy and complimenting Millers has given us a potent outside pass rush. That make you good on 3rd downs and it has really helped.

Our defense is good. Add some more parts to the front 7 and it will be great.

Its nice when a plan comes together.

Miller has obviously made a huge impact. He seriously is good for at least a half dozen QB hits a game (though he may have got away with a couple tonight).

Bunkley is solid. Ayers is becoming solid. Doom finally seems to be healthy (and still gets held more than anyone I've seen and never gets called).

We need secondary depth (CB) as goodman, though he redeemed himself, is a liability. Champ has 2-3 good years left before I think he needs moved to safety. Harris is a gem of a free agent rookie and I think will only get better and at least be a solid nickel back. Moore and Carter need time to grow, but as rookies they are doing well and I think can both be solid starters in a year or 2.

That leaves us needing to fill 1-2 CB positions, MLB, another DT, and eventually a WLB.

A stud MLB would take our defense to the next level, and this is something we can get in the 15-25 region of the draft (where I expect us to draft). A stud CB in this region could help as well.

Offensively, well I think we need a lot still.

The D is came so far and Von may be the best draft pick we've made in a decade. Sure it was the highest pick we've made in forever but great to see the kid is living up to being that high a pick. Hell Von may already be the best player on the team...

AND the D getting it's groove on could make it possibly for us to win games with Tebow as well as see if the he can progress...

BIG PROPS D...

Have to give props to the D. They kept us in the game and even got us back in reach with Goodmans pick 6.

We also didn't give up a late pass or PI penalty to give away the game.

Maybe the Refs are FINALLY going to stop throwing bogus PI calls against us, since our D is getting national props for playing well. It cost us the jets game last year but not tonight.

Actually the refs kept their hankies in their pockets most all night, and called it pretty even.

No holding calls is a happy thing.

I was wondering if anyone else was thinking that. I was like Damn this is almost like last yr when they just needed a hail mary PI bailout to win.

I remember that game being winnable though, i know we could win this.

Corner is a much bigger need than MLB right now. Mays is a big part of our improved run defense. He's no world beater, but I'll roll with him over Goodman any day.

Right now, my two top positional needs are CB and RB.

Yeah 16-63 on 3rd down is just solidly mediocre

we are watching this D grow up in front of our eyes we are just a few pieces from a absolutely great defense.

We just need to improve at MLB, get a stud DT to improve the overall quality of the rotation while maintaining depth (hopefully Ty Warren), and draft a young corner.

There are a couple of good MLB's in this draft who may be around when the Broncos pick in the first round.

I think you meant blood stains.

I believe this defense needs to get the recognition it deserves. This D keeps us in the game for Tebow to make the magic happening. If not, Tebow's drive for 95 yards gets us close like the Chargers game. It was nice to see Goodman do something as his name suggests.

It's only been a few weeks since they were completely destroyed by Detroit. Just take it easy, and let things play out. As of yet they haven't done anything to prove they're anything more than mediocre at the moment. Going from bottom-feeder to mediocre in one season is pretty awesome. Let's not get carried away...

We're getting there, the improvement against the run is phenomenal.

We're not quite there yet though. A top passing attack would still give us an awful beating IMO. We could really do with a top quality MIKE linebacker. Mays is great against the run, but he's a stopgap player who we should be looking to replace in the not too distant future. I'd love to keep him as a backup/role/ST player though, guy leaves everything on the field every week.

I'm not going to rag on Goodman now as his pick-6 probably won us the game, but I expect he'll be gone soon enough. He gets picked on.

The safety play also isn't amazing, but Moore and especially Carter look like good prospects out there. Hopefully they'll be our starting duo down the road, their styles would seem to compliment each other very nicely too.

We also need a better DT's, still.

But yeah, amazing improvement on the filth we've been subjected to the last few years. Amazing what a good coaching staff can do.

Incredibly preformace by the D yet again. To constantly hold up for 55 minutes until Tebow turns clutch is astounding. I dont think even the Ravens vaulted D had to face so many 3 and outs and still hold strong.

Last 3 QBs are Orton like in their abilities so the D isn't exactly the orange crush yet, but are only 2 solid players away from being elite.

Amazing what some confidence can do for a team. That is a D that expects to shut people down. Pretty impressive to see that level of buy in considering the crap start to the season.

I am starting to really love this team...

FYI: They said the same thing about the Gators when Tebow was there - "the D is carrying him"... then he left and the Gators couldn't win jack...

The running style the Broncos are playing which al runs off Tebow is what allows them to slow the game down which helps the D so much.

Some games the D may star and be carrying him.. but It's Tebow that is the difference maker.

But having said that.. if the D wasn't buying into and playing with Tebow they wouldn't be doing this. Of course it's a total team effort and all QBs have their Ds helping them a ton.
