Default Tebow!

I just want to let my fellow Denver Tebow fans know that I'm grateful for a site where I can come and get my daily Tebow news. It's Tebowtastic!

Now, let us all bow our heads in Tebowreverence and let the warm Tebowwaves course through our bodies.

This is every football site now. He was the front page of nfl.com and espn.com at some point this week. If you type "denver post broncos" into google, the top result says something like "Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow, news, etc..."

Tebows plan to take over the world is working.

Once was bad enough, and it worked out well. I don't have that confidence this time. Sorry, Teboners.

He's slated to be an alternate at punter based on write-in ballots alone.

- And I don't care who you are.....

Now, back to reality.

By Lee Rasizer - Sporting News - Big lesson Tebow must learn. When to pass and when to run.
http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/stor..._lnk2%7C107868
With Tebow’s low-armed delivery and 48.7% career completion rate, that decision making is magnified.
A double helping of media moron horsechit claims (imo).
======================

Things that the media morons almost NEVER address:

Staying in the pocket and waiting for a receiver to come open greatly increases the QB's sack numbers,
especially if you have an ineffective OL and/or average to slow receivers.

The genius Bronco Staff/FO traded/gave away the top 2 WR's from 2010, Lloyd & Gaffney.

The QB completion % does not account for intentional 'nobody open' throw-aways or for the receiver dropped balls.

QB Accuracy is better defined by numbers other than just the completion percentage.
Such as: Comp/TD ratio, TD/Int ratio, and the overall Passing Efficiency, the QB's PER.
Those numbers better account for receivers getting open and the QB's decision making.
The NFL Pass Efficiency Rating is way better than just using the Pass Comp.%

And that's exactly WHY so many of the media morons want to focus only on Tim's Comp.%
Because any 'fair' evaluation makes them FoS yet again on Tebow's NFL QB talent level.

To bad that there is no QB stat for 'delivery height' to 'blocked pass attempt' for us to look at.
But going from memory, I don't remember Tebow having a higher % of his passes blocked than those QB's with an 'over the top'
type delivery. Plus, not all of Tebow's throws are of the low delivery variety anyway.

Tim tried to stay in the pocket to throw against Miami, and how many sacks did the Denver OL & Receivers help him give up?

Tebow's Complete Career Stats:
Pass Completion Percentage 48.7%
Starter W/L Record 2 - 2
NFL QB PER = 85.9 -- (2011 - 94.4)
Touchdown to Interception Ratio is 2.7 TD's per 1 Int. (2011 - 3.0 to 0)
Touchdown to Completion Ratio is 7.25 to 1. (2011 - 5.7 to 1)

Now, balance that against what happens when Tebow does take off and run the ball, is it a mistake?

2010 - 43 for 227 yds, 5.3 ypc, 6 TD's 1 Fum, ZERO Lost Poss. Fumbles. (led the team in ypc & rushing TD's)
2011 - 16 for 96 yds, 6.0 ypc, 1 TD, 1 Fum, ZERO Lost Poss. Fumbles. (leds the team in ypc & TD's per carry, tied for total rushing TD's.
* Career Rushing to Date: 59 for 323 yds, 5.5 ypc, 7 TD's, ZERO Lost Poss. Fumbles.
>>> Looks to me like Tim taking off to run is not all that bad of a decision. (one TD scored per 8.4 runs)

To Date, Tebow has a career total of 178 regular season (2010-11) plays.
He has accounted for 15 TD's, or 1 TD per 11.9 plays.
That's with a total of just 3 turnovers (Ints), or just one T-O per 59.3 plays.

Anyone, please feel free to list those last 3 stats for ANY freakin' QB currently in the NFL and compare them.
And when you do the comparisons, be sure to take into account the overall 'quality' of that QB's surrounding team.
Or you can just do like the irrelevant MEDIA MORONS & Haters by harping-on about Tim's 'average' 48.7 Comp.%.

Current 2011 NFL PER's -- # Atts -- TD's - Ints -- TD/Int Ratio (used TT's career numbers for a bigger sample)

Tebow ---- 85.9 -- 119 - 8 - 3 -- 2.7 to 1 ----- (TT 2011 PER 94.4 - Ratio 3.0 to 0)

Painter ---- 85.2 -- 119 - 5 - 2 -- 2.5 to 1
Vick ------- 84.4 -- 200 - 9 - 8 -- 1.1 to 1
Dalton ----- 84.3 -- 189 - 7 - 5 -- 1.4 to 1
Campbell --- 84.2 -- 165 - 6 - 4 -- 1.5 to 1
Cutler ------ 84.0 -- 232 - 9 - 6 -- 1.5 to 1
Sanchez --- 83.0 -- 231 - 12 - 6 -- 2.0 to 1
McNabb ---- 82.9 -- 156 - 4 - 2 -- 2.0 to 1
Newton ---- 82.8 -- 252 - 8 - 9 -- .89 to 1 << neg.
Rivers ------ 82.3 -- 218 - 7 - 9 -- .78 to 1 << neg.
Jackson ---- 81.0 -- 157 - 6 - 5 -- 1.2 to 1
Cassel ----- 80.7 -- 170 - 8 - 7 -- 1.1 to 1
Ryan ------ 79.5 -- 252 - 9 - 8 -- 1.1 to 1
Henne ----- 79.0 -- 112 - 4 - 4 -- 1.0 to 1
Kolb ------- 78.8 -- 206 - 7 - 7 -- 1.0 to 1
Flacco ----- 76.2 -- 211 - 17 - 5 -- 3.4 to 1 << only lower PER w/^ ratio
Orton ------ 75.7 -- 155 - 8 - 7 -- 1.1 to 1
McCoy ----- 75.4 -- 252 - 8 - 4 -- 2.0 to 1
Freeman --- 73.1 -- 270 - 7 - 10 -- .70 to 1 << neg.
Bradford --- 72.2 -- 196 - 3 - 2 -- 1.5 to 1

4 More QB's had PER's down in the Sixties.

Tebow has a better PER and has thrown as many or more TD's on half the number of attempts, with about 1/3 of the Ints.

So, IS there a combined and concerted Tebow hater conspiracy,,,,,,
or are all of these morons really JUST THAT STU-PID

I am as big of a Tebow fan as anyone else in Denver... but to list his TDlay Ratio right now is not an accurate indication of where he will be once he has an opportunity to play a lot more. Right now his numbers are receiveing a pretty significant boost from his redzone packages.

I also find it amusing that people cannot step back and see that he was supposed to be a project. Why everyone expects instant stardom on the field is a little perplexing. Right now, if he is a 50% passer and has more TDs than INTs, it is a win for him.
