I didn't think he actually had a shot to win, but I thought the race would be more interesting with him in it.
So does this mean Romney wins by default? |

Why do you think he wouldn't have a shot to win? He's a straight up moderate that's a pretty good leader. Sure he's made mistakes, but that's common amongst all leaders

I don't see any sustained record that he could run on, do you? I mean, he's been governor for 18 months or so now. He's developing some accomplishments and showing himself to be a fighter but he's right when he says it's not his time.
I dont' see Evangelicals turning out for a Christie/Romney ticket, and as much as they're maligned, they bring a strong voting block. |

"It's not my time"
I dunno, I think he sort of pussed out here, he could certainly muster the support given the crop of fools the GOP is puting forth. I think he chickened out because he knows if he won he'd have to govern through the same s**t storm that Obama has and tarnish himself. Then again maybe pussing out is a smart thing to do. |

Good move for Christie, IMHO.
There hasn't been a late-entry into the field that has had any success. Clinton was the last to come to mind, but he was actively using exploratory committees and other resources that were beneficial for his official launch. |
