Default If Orton is signed long term...

So, pure speculation, but anyone want to take a wager on how well this board would react if Orton is signed to a long term deal here?

Anarchy. Considering that they don't seem impressed with Tebow, my current guess is that none of the three QBs on our roster are back next year.

Honestly that would be where I throw in the towel.

I'd go say hi to Atlas on extremeskins.

I'd use my authentic #7 Elway jersey for archery practice.

All that being said, I actually think this would be a step towards a future. It would explain why on earth we are starting a journeyman QB utterly incapable of any flashes of brilliance in the last year of his contract in a hopeless "rebuilding" season while we have a #1 draft pick sitting on the pine. At least it would be a decision. Whether it is a good decision is another matter.

I could see Orton given an extension if the Broncos select Andrew Luck or another 1st round QB.

I would go to Denver and personally donkey punch Elway, fox, Xanders and Bowlen in the throat.

I can't see them selling orton to the fans for another year unless he breaks out this year. Just can't see it. They will have to go another direction.

I'd probably stop watching the Broncos for awhile. Find something else to do with my sundays. I can stand it now because I know he wont be around much longer (hopefully). If that changes with an extension...I'm out.

Might even leave this board for awhile. No point dealing with Broncos stuff if I am not watching/dealing with the team in any way.

My wife asked me yesterday why I even watch them meaning I'm red in the face angry when I'm done. For the first time ever I did not have an answer for her. She just said WOW they must be doing something wrong and walked out.
