I am sure African-American voters would be happy to consider an alternative, provided that that alternative was not a party with regressive policies that would be damaging to their community. But, of course, racists like Hobo think it's just because they are too stupid to know any better.

Cain has every reason to steer African American voters toward race politics and away from economic politics. The economic policies of the Republican Party are wiping out African American communities all across the country.

It's racist for me to assume that African-Americans best know how to use their vote, and not racist for you to post and endorse an article that essentially says they are too stupid to know any better? There's right wing logic for you.

I'm sure most blacks in this country have the street smarts to see a flim flam man like Cain coming from a mile away.

I was going to tell you the same thing.
It is pretty clear that you have zero knowledge or understanding of anything related to the political process. Lets hope you're still in middle school or high school, it would make your behavior more excusable. Rather than being "conditioned" to like Democrats, I'll just point to the era of Civil Rights to signify why there is an overwhelming majority of African-American support for Democratic ideas and values. The images of Strom Thurmond and other Republicans fillibustering civil rights legislation is going to be on the memories of those who had to hatefully endure them forever. That is just one simple example to illustrate why the AA community votes for Democrats. The worst thing about this article and by you posting it, is the underlying assumption that they aren't smart enough to think for themselves in regards to who they vote for. Shameful. |

I pointed out a significant era of history (not just political) that illustrates why the African-American community are more supportive of the Democratic Party as opposed to the Republican Party. I didn't ever utter what you claimed. Comprehension is key, but we know that such a skill evades you. |

Ol' Hobo doesn't even realize that by denigrating the intelligence of blacks, he just proves that 'baggers have an ugly streak of racism within their dogma.
Here's a free hint, Hobo - when in a hole, stop digging first. |

The real brainwashing has been done to so many blue-collar white workers who stupidly continue to support and vote for the party that takes money out of their pockets and funnels it to plutocrats. They've been convinced that things that will never effect them - like the estate tax, like lowing taxes on corporations instead of preventing them from avoiding them - is somehow in their interest to fight for.

Democrats are modern day slave owner. They keep blacks in their pocket by keeping them poor and dependent.on the government.
Republicans started civil rights for blacks. Democrats repeatedly voted against civil rights legislation. |

You racist b****. Yeah, those darkies don't know what's best for them. They should vote for the party that funnels all their money to Wall Street. And you are ignorant about history. The Democrats who were opposed to Civil Rights defected to the Republican Party (Thurmond etc). That's why blacks stopped voting for them.

I'm racist? Maybe you're just mad because they've fooled you all these years. What have the dems done for the poor blacks or the poor of any other race? Not a got damn thing. They've kept them dependent on the government. Being poor and dependedt has become a lifestyle. The dems don't want the poor to better their lives. Then who would vote for them? The war on poverty was really a war to keep the poor poor. But don't ask me, ask Allen West: |

More democrats voted against the Civil Rights Act than republicans did, but the liberals like to pretend and rewrite history(what a surprise) that they all defected to the republican party after they lost that vote despite the fact a higher percentage of republicans voted for it. So they defected to the party that supported that bill even more? Yeah, that makes sense. More BS spewed by the liberals who do not want to admit it is the democrats with the long history of racism.

Do people think Obama or Cain speak for the entire black "race"?
That's a narrow view. They don't. Further, if people do consider the race of a candidate....wouldn't that make them a racist is in the worse sort of way? I'll be happy the day you racist people accept yourselves for what you are. |

Anybody who believes the Republican economic policies would be better for the already crippled black community is smoking some bad ****. Since Reagan came into office and installed the supply side economics mythology, those at the bottom of the economic scale have gone nowhere but down.
