Default Orton_Will_Have_a_Good_Game. Guaranteed.

The Broncos are 0-4-1 against the Packers in Wisconsin.
The Broncos are 13 point underdogs according to Vegas.

ESPN's fantasy rating for Orton is as follows,
Quote:
Orton completed 24 passes last week and still couldn't reach 175 yards through the air. Green Bay, coming off a three-sack game versus the Bears, are going to force him to throw quickly, which means more short dinks and dunks. Projected points: 9
(9 is really bad, for you non-nerds)

And ya know what? They're wrong.

Green Bay's secondary has been sliced to shreds with huge 300+ yard games by Brees, Cutler, and a rookie QB.

Everybody thinks Green Bay will win, and that confidence can be deceptive. The pack nearly let Carolina beat them because confidence got to their heads, and I promise you they're not taking Denver seriously.

As for the Broncos record, we're a deceptive 1-2, as we've had all close games against much improved teams.

Another reason Orton will be great? This isn't another game where we see McGahee get the ball at the goal line, as running is not an option vs the Pack. This game falls completely on Orton's shoulders, and he's about to prove why he's a starting QB in the NFL.

Tebow fans and pessimists take note. Orton is about to show you what a real QB looks like.

I'm putting money on this game. I was going to take the points, but hell, I'm making this thread so I'm going all in for the Broncos win. Mark it.

EDIT:

A great point made by strafen,

I actually think Orton has a chance to be knocked out of this game. Broncos won't be able to block them IMO if they can't run. If orton is throwing a lot of 3rd down and long I could see this being the game he gets injured.

Orton will have a good game when the O line gels - could be this week but I doubt it.

I appreciate your optimism but to think that "we're a deceptive 1-2" is ludicrous. Orton never comes through in the clutch. The fact that we won't be able to run against them and their pass rush is as good as it is, is all we need to know. If the game rides on his shoulders, that's when he chokes. The premise of this thread, is a pipe dream and frankly ruined any chance of it being a trap game out of pure karma. Not to mention, the boys mentioned it might be as such on the podcast, ugh. The fact that Carolina played them as tight as they did is exactly why, IMO, they will come out to shred us with multiple, frequent blizts. KO might get his ear bitten off in this one.

I do see us making this game closer than the experts think. A win is doubtful though

Green Bay's 2-5 alignment should be tailor made for Orton. Look for a lot of empty backfields with the game on Orton's shoulders.

If Orton throws 3 TDs in this game, it's his job all season without complaint from me.

I think 3 passing TDs is extremely possible.

...I think we'd still lose by 20 in that scenario though

Blart has some points and we know that teams have been putting yards up at will against their defense. I just want to see an Orton that puts up yards AND scores TDs. 300 yards and 16 points wont cut it.

This will possibly be Orton's best game of the season.

The odds are good that the Broncos are going to be down by 10+ points...possibly even as soon as the end of the first quarter. As we all well know, Orton is at his best when the prevent defense takes the field and the opposing defenders begin thinking of where they're going to eat after the game.

The closer this game is, the more likely it is that Orton has a below-average performance.

Are you serious?

Remember the KC blowout, then he fell apart.

One good game wouldnt make up for his multiple chokes vs oak and tenn. We would be 3-0 with a better qb.

Orton will have garbage stats btw because we don't have the weapons to spread GB, and our Oline wont be able to give the wrs time to run deep routes. Kyle will be forced to step up after 5 step drops because Mathews will smoke our Te forced to help Franklin. Our Te and rt cant handle gbs blitz package.

Beadle Bailey and JD are so sketchy as well.

When he steps up he will look short and hit and miss on short crosses that might lead to a high comp % apologists pt to, which is just meaningless yards like handing off on 3rd and ten and running for 7 yards.

Also, I start 87 in fantasy, but he cant beat gbs corners, will draw woodson probably, and its gonna be a long day.
