Default Larsen shout out

Just wanted to give a shout out to Spencer Larsen. I was at the game and he had a phenomenal game. He had a couple key run blocks that sprung McGahee, and picked up the blitz nicely in pass protection.

He also ran a first down, and believe it or not, was the number 2 receiver for the Broncos in this game.

Hats off to Larsen.

I like rooting for underrated broncos, he reminds me of chris cooley they way he catches

the ball on play action and then aims for the first defender he sees. Great Game

Good games by Larsen, Decker. When Royal went down I started to get really worried that Or ton would have no idea who to throw it to.

McGahee and Ball had decent games too.

Even though Orton did not have a great game, he really only hurt us the one time (fumble on the sack). And he was putting the ball in good spots, when he got them off. Not a game ball (That is all about him this week) as that goes to Decker!

15/25, 195 2/0 .... a 111.25 qb rating with his top two wideouts, top HB and #2 TE out. Yeah, Orton really didn't play too well.

Like I said, Oton didn't hurt us much with the fumble, (the turnover not in your stats) and he was putting the ball in good spots. I expected him to play better today than Monday, and he did. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Decker still made the runs after catch and he still would get my game ball.

I saw him on a pass play where he was looking for a guy to hit, he was clearing holes and catching passes.

Great day for Thor's Hammer!

Orton has a good game, with a very limited receiving corps.

Peyton Hillis was/is a weapon as a fullback.

Larsen is no Hillis, but his blocking today was sharp, and he showed he can receive if he needs to.

Vaughn stepped it up, too. A couple miscues, but you can't ask for much more from a 2nd year undrafted free agent.

I ask this in all honesty... did you never see Howard Griffith play?

I really believe that Griffith is one of the most underrated Broncos of all time. He was an amazing weapon for those superbowl teams. He always made a play when it mattered. Mcaffrey's big block? That was a Howard Griffith vehicle he was clearing the way for.

I'm very surprised no one has mentioned Hillis yet.

While Vaughn was hardly a world beater today, I really have to say he looked quite a bit better than Goodman. It might be time to make him the #2, but then again he isn't a vet and Goodman is. So that probably isn't going to happen.

Yes, I was a big Griffith fan... I was making a reference to one of the 2,000 stupid ass comments that Trent "Dont Ever Stop Talking" Dilfer made during the Monday night game.

There's another Griffith playing at Oklahoma right now.

He's going to be the highest fullback drafted in awhile when he comes out. A true triple threat who excels at all three responsibilities: blocking, receiving, running the ball. He's a 255-pound athlete who has been quite a surprise at OU.

I'm still trying to figure out how Stoops convinced him to play fullback at OU instead of him playing RB or linebacker elsewhere. But evidently the kid has had designs on fullback and works constantly to expand his game.

Nothing new for Larsen. Last year when he was healthy he was the difference in our run game being stopped for a loss or gaining positive yards.

He's not built like a prototype FB but the guy just steams into the OL and puts his body on a defender. Really admire his play.

Like I said in another thread, if Tebow had those stats people would ignore the actual game and just jerk off because the QB rating is high. If Orton has them people dissect every little bit of his game.

I used to try and defend Goodman but he is just playing too poorly now. I can handle giving up some of the catches but you are in the NFL, LEARN TO TACKLE!!!!

I'm sick of seeing him play two hand touch out there. On that huge pass up the middle Goodman couldn't bring the guy down and the only reason they didn't score right away was because Vaughn caught up to him out of nowhere.
