Default Geithner in Europe

Apparently Obama's Treasury Sec Tim Geithner is in Europe trying to staunch the deepening liquidity crisis there.

The US banksters cannot allow the European banksters to go under -- or the crisis will quickly spread to the US.

US banks are on the hook -- having sold vast credit default swaps to the Europeans.

Will it work?

Tiny Tim is probably giving them the "how to fail" lesson plan... if they actually listen to his advice then the joke is on them...

Geithner can't even get arrested in Europe. See, in order to counsel Europe on their crisis, you have to have some type of credibility in dealing with YOUR crisis. Timmy self-selects right out of that conversation.

I see you two are savvy on Geithner -- and what it all means.

I noticed today that gold and silver have dipped --

This could be the last bus out of town.

Hope not, of course, but...

Geithner a socialist?

It depends on how you define "socialism."

If you mean that the US government is socialist because it gives free money to the banking elite. Yeah.

I wouldn't call socialism for the top .05% socialism. I'd call it by its true name: plutocracy.

Fixed it. I'm not a total heel.

So what does that make you?

Answer: stupid.

Exactly.

Even when somebody is nice to you, you insult them.

You take the "social" out of socialism.

Ro's idea of "nice" explains many things.

"Nice," as in courteous, respectful, civil, well-mannered, etc. I know that all these words have no meaning to a narcissist such as yourself.

I acknowledge my mistakes -- which is more than I can say for Ro.

Hilarious. Since when are you those things?

When I first came on the Mane in 2006 I was all of those things. (Believe it or not -- that is my natural state.) I naively believed that reason and logic and truth would win out -- and persuade all comers.

I quickly learned different. The OM laughs at Nice guys -- who are considered effete wimps.

The only lingo around here that anybody hears is a 2 X 4 across the face. That is the reality -- like it or not.

I didn't say I like it -- I don't. We do what we can.
