Sad reality folks. "Tebow didn't beat out Orton this summer and even was outplayed by Brady Quinn."

Billboard dude got his message across and didn't even have to spend the 10k.

"Well, I've seen a lot of billboards, and I can't remember one that really influenced me," Fox said.

Whether you are influenced or not, you see them.

Meck, you're a knowledgeable football fan, been around for a while... did you see Quinn out play Tebow? I sure as hell didn't. In fact, I saw a pretty evenly matched Tim Tebow and Kyle Orton on the field.

One thing is certain which is why I'm not up in arms over all this... Tim Tebow, Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn.... doesn't matter who the QB is, this team will be lucky to win 4 games this season.

They don't win on Sunday, which is looking less and less likely with so many players out, and this could be a 3 win season. Hopefully whoever has that worse season isn't in need of a QB and nobody leap frogs us!

Tebow also added that the Broncos don’t have a package for plays designed specifically for him, like they had a year ago. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...sarcastically/

This makes me question this coaching regime. How can you not have a package of plays for Tebow. They are wasting his talent. Can't believe he might be used even less than last year. Unbelievable!

The "outplayed by Brady Quinn" thing is just getting old as **** because its not even remotely close to the truth.

Oh wait I forgot, the coaching staff only cares about performance in practice.

Well that was more the point I was trying to make. You can't make chicken soup out of chicken shiat.

I'm not up in arms either. I'm of the opinion we're going to need a couple years of good drafting and some sort of stability to dig out of this hole. Maybe Tebow will emerge but it's not going to happen over night. No reason to hate on the team, owner, coach or even Orton IMO.

Even Elway(HOF) couldn't put it together until he had guys like TD(arguably a HOFer) and Sharp (HOF) and an entire roster and coaching staff which was focused. We're far from that. Oh they had something else. Unconditional support from the fans which Elway admitted was crucial down stretch of his career. Some doubt fan importance. I'll take Elways word for how important fans support was to him.

Must be hard on Tebow to see QBs come in to the league when he did or even this year and get an opportunity to start (knowing he completely out classed them in while in college).

He also outclassed them playing in the NFL last season (with the exception of Bradford)

All my optimism for the season usually disappears mid October when we start sliding. This year - 3 days into trading camp. Being a Broncos fan right now is depressing as all ****. We suck. And we refuse to use the only real potential on the O side of the ball we have.

If Orton is the starter on 10/30, my tickets go on stubhub.

Orton won't be able to stay healthy this season if Monday was any indication.

Tebow shows that he has more class and integrity than Fox, Orton, Elway, etc.

While the others are trying as hard as they can not to show support for the guy, Tebow comes out and shows support for them.

And they wonder why Broncos fans like the guy and want to give him a chance to succeed?

I'm getting depressed and tired of EFX thumbing their nose at the fans. Before everyone jumps down my throat - it's the way they are all talking - Elways "jokey" twitter post which completely missed the point - Fox's flippant attitude to the controversy.

I was at the Raiders game when we went on the 3 game slide that led to Shanny getting fired. Since that moment... the 6 game win streak, the Thanksgiving game against the Giants (right? I was there for Gods sake, memory...) erm.... Tebows game against Houston. Those are the good memories. ****.

You nailed it dude.

Its as if they don't realize how bad the Broncos suck, how bad they have sucked for so long, and how fed up with sucking that Bronco Fan is.

There's really an arrogance and defensive attitude there that is unprofessional and unappealing.

I tell you what...it doesn't inspire confidence in their commitment to winning football games. Especially after an offseason full of lip service and short on substance that delivered us what looks like a worse team than last seasons at this point.

The thing I don't understand is that they came out and said they wanted to get the fans excited about the Broncos again, and then they doggedly stick with the one guy that absolutely precludes that from happening.

If this isn't about saving money, I just can't wrap my head around what the explanation is.

This the thing I just can't get my around. I would bet that most of the fans on this board believe Orton might the best short term starter based on his experience but also agree he's not the long term answer either.

If this is true why would Bowlen, Elway and Foc draw a line in the sand after trying to trade him away? Futhermore what sense did it make to not trade Tebow if they thought he wasn't ready to play in the future?

Answer: They know damn good and well Tebow will get his shot to play this season because they need to know if he's got what it takes to be a QB in the NFL. If they wait until the season is a total loss to play his trade value will be zip and then they'll be stuck with 2 QB's with zero value. They all may be in agreement for the moment saying Orton is the guy to pacify the team, the media and the fans. But behind closed doors I can't believe for a second they'll let Tebow rot on the bench. It just doesn't make sense given how awful Orton has played the last season and a half.

I'm not sure they are aware of how awful he has played the last year and a half to be honest. They certainly don't act like it. They probably think his decent stat line actually means something...

It's ****ing absurd. FOR EONS the Broncos have had goal line problems and, so far, its been no different this year. Yet when McD finally implemented the Tebow goal line offense, those problems DISAPPEARED OVER NIGHT. It was no longer an achilles heel for the broncos, it was suddenly a strength.

I have no clue why its so taboo to possibly take our your starting quarterback in situations when the guy behind him is ten times better.

Personally I have no clue why you don't just start the guy that is ten times better in the redzone. Seeing as it's the most important aspect of being a quarterback and all. It's not like he was terrible outside the 20 last year or anything...

I have to say, your last sentence is incorrect. The depth chart was set before any practices began, and neither Quinn nor Tebow were ever given a chance to compete with Orton. Remember, there were many reports that Quinn looked like the best out of all three QBs early in camp, but he was never given a chance to even practice with the first team. So in fact, they don't care about performance in games or performance in practice, they turn a blind eye to both.
