32

SI Power Rankings
Last Week: 29
Denver Broncos (0-1)
The final score of Denver's loss to Oakland was close (23-20), but the most ominous indication of trouble ahead for the Broncos was their inability to either run the ball (38 yards) or stop the run (the Raiders rushed for 190). Those are staples of a John Fox-coached team, and it didn't help in the least that quarterback Kyle Orton turned back into a pumpkin in that orange Broncos jersey.

Same thing every year. I'd feel weird disagreeing with that ranking. We're terrible.

while we are a bad team, our loss was not quite on the level as what happened in Arrowhead on Sunday.

At least there is some reason for optimism, Tebow.

I think it's justified. Hard to argue with it after a 4-12 season.

I know. We lost by 3 and were in it until the end. They got raped at home by the Bills.

KC might've hung in there if Buffalo gave them a half billion first downs on penalties.

how does KC stay out of that bottom spot?

Bills fans were literally laughing in the 2nd half at the Chiefs ineptitude...and that happened at Arrowhead

We'll continue to be in the bottom few until someone has the BALLS to make a change of who leads this team!

It's like Friday Night Lights and Orton is a less talented Matt Saracen.

So when the media tells you how stupid you are for chanting for Tebow you just dismiss it and say that they don't know what they're talking about, but when they put out these meaningless power rankings you actually care where you're ranked?

Poor example, Saracen led them to a state title./

Let's not kid ourselves. The only reason that game wasn't a blow out was because the Raiders seemed to lack discipline. They had about 15 penalties to add to our 10. In reality, the Broncos dropped the soap but were lucky the big black man that was ready to run up in them slipped.

Why do you expect different? Maybe 31? Or even 30? Still - you're at the bottom of the barrel...

This is kind of funny. Seriously, we're pissed we're not ranked 31 instead? Really?

New season, new trolls. It's nice to have a change from karenin's reincarnations and that crazy guy who thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

This was my first thought as well. Then it hit me--this is what it's come to in Denver.

As a fan I'm now worried about not being the #32 ranked team out of 32 in SI? Jesus Christ, what the hell happened to this franchise?

****, it doesn't seem that long ago that we were perennial contenders. I'm 38, so not an old man yet, and as a kid, young adult and throughout most of my adult life we were a model franchise. Now we're a steaming pile of Orton dung.

Thanks McDummy, Bowlen, Xanders, Orton, and whoever the hell else is responsible for this dumpster fire I root for every week in the fall.

Rant over, for now.

Maybe the dude who did the power ranking left the KFC game in the 3rd quarter with the other sister lovers in a Camero?

Or they just are giving KFC time to fall to the depths because they "won" the division last year.
