Default Interesting fact about Monday Night's game...

If I counted this right - and I think I did - here is an interesting fact that is worth taking note of:

Of the Broncos 59 offensive plays against the Raiders, 46 of them were run out of the shotgun formation (77%).

If only we had a QB that could excel in a shotgun offense. Now where would you find a guy like that?

I think that there is a message written somewhere between the lines with this stat.

That our coaching staff has their heads so far up their own asses they can see the back of their tonsils?

"Hey lets run a lot of shotgun, but not play our best shotgun QB."

Yeah, it is Denver has bumpkiss for an OLine so we better give Mr. Concrete shoes ad much room as possible to avoid the rush.

I have an idea to give Orton more room.

We'll replace Walton with Lonnie Paxton and just have him long snap to Orton who will be 15 yards behind the line.

There's plenty of room on the bench if Orton feels too crowded on the field.

Just sayin'.

Probably because our O-line was a freakin' turnstile all night, they wanted to get our fleet footed WonderQB as far away from the defense as possible.

I wouldn't be suprised to seem them start long snapping it to Orton.

On more than half of Orton sacks he could have stepped up and ran for several yards. The Raiders play a man defense so they had their back turned. Orton doesn't do well throwing the ball when moved but whats new...

I have a question. Did you really think that changing the i to a 1 would get the first 4 letters of that word past the language filter?

The line was not that bad in pass blocking. Orton had lots of time on te majority of plays. They got pressure by blitzing multiple guys. It is the coaches job to call screens and quick passes to stop the blitz. It is Ortons job to get the ball out and make them pay for the blitz. No line blocks all of those extra defenders rushing. They suck at run blocking but wrre pretty good at pass blocking.

As for the shotgun, that is surprising.
