Nope, it will not. The Cable and satellite providers have deals already in place with networks and the cost of the loss in subscribers will be shouldered by the ones who remain on the traditional service.

I hate agreeing with Shane but Vue is the way to go. I tried Sling TV first and it was horrible. I have had Vue for several years and love it.

I do sling blue + orange + sports package upgrade to get red zone. My wife gets amazon prime for free through work and so we have more streaming and programming than ever. I thank Christ I will never deal with Comcast again.

Also love the Roku interface.

I'm on the promotional-for-life Directv Now Go Big package, which gives me their 100+ channel package for the $40 entry-level price.

Service was rough at first, but pretty functional now. Cloud DVR seems to work most the time. HBO only $5 extra. It'd be stupid for me to switch.

I've tried Directv Now, Playstation Vue, and Sling. Playstation Vue is my preference.

I was strongly considering DirecTV Now. And then I read the reviews...

It was hot garbage at first. DVR is also a semi-functioning work in progress. But I held on just because $35 for the $65 package was too good to pass up. And at the time, Sling only allowed 1 stream.

Sling wasn't all that impressive, performance wise, either.

With $5 HBO, it'd likely cost me nearly twice as much for something similar elsewhere.

When they came out with the DVR I started to get interested. I can't live without DVR service. That and the $5 HBO, and they were offering a free Roku. I just couldn't get past all the bad reviews from people saying "DON'T DO IT". But if it's improved since then maybe I'll reconsider.

Can't hurt to free trial it.

I've found I use the DVR a lot less than I did in the old days because so many networks (AMC, History, etc) let you log into their sites/apps using your cable credentials and stream shows whenever you want.

With DirecTv Now, do you get a lot of pauses, or all of a sudden (usually late at night) it says Content not allowed? This all started when they did the DVR upgrade roll out.
I'm on the same package, started with them when they first came out.

Easy, load a VPN on your fire tv(I use nord). Force stop your vue app.
Launch your VPN and under search type in 2573 (there's a list on Reddit, I got mine from a chat with a nord tech online). Launch Vue.

I have more weird issues like that on my Amazon devices for some reason.

The "Beta" app on my Samsung Smart TV actually seems to work more smoothly than the Amazon app ever has.

That's what I use more than anything now.

With more and more people cutting cable the internet providers are going to cap monthly data and soon internet will be much more than you ever paid for cable. Just a guess.
This is why I haven't cut the cord. Everyone I talk to who has pays very close to what we pay for Internet/TV/home phone plus we get Cell discounts due to our bundle.

It is so easy to turn on the TV and not have to log into services then hunt for something to watch.

I made a mistake on an Amazon order and am using my Prime free month, I have wanted to see a few of their shows but it wouldn't be worth to have all year round. I wouldn't mind having netflix but that is another fee I don't need to pick up every month. Happy with what we have. Don't have time to watch what we do and I have more time than most of you.

We pay $9 for HBO and I thought that was a deal I will have to call into AT&T again.

Only reason I got it was it was under half price, I am addicted to VICE news now and I like their content. Beats waiting 6 months to see everything then having to wait on the Library DVD list but free was good.

Have used HBOgo a couple times when the wife was watching something else.

On one of our Samsung TV's that app froze a lot, but it was really new when I tried it, other TV is a year too old (at least when I read about the app coming out). I get the weird stuff mostly on the Apple TV's hooked to a Samsung. The FireTv works best in my house, crazy!

I use IPVanish. I can use it on my computer, phone and Fire Stick. Not sure if itís available on Roku. Itís easy to make your device think youíre in Denver or other areas. I think I paid a $100 roughly for a full year of useage. Worth it though. I also use PlayStation Vue. Itís $10 extra for the sports pack that comes with the Redzone channel.

Streaming services like vue and youtube are way too expensive. Internet costs go up to supplement the decrease in cable subscribers. At Best, I can save $35 by going internet only. Not even worth cutting cable and going with another service.

How is your bill that much? You got all the soft core porn channels?

You should find reddit. It's every NFL game, redzone channel for $0 a month.
